Anyone else from NY find it insanely annoying that people travel from everywhere else to see shows here and all the locals get shut out?
No. For me that's part of what makes these shows so special at MSG. It's filled with hardcore fans that travel great distances and by the time the lights go down, the energy is through the roof. Wouldn't be like that if it was only locals, and I am a local. Just my opinion. And I'll be stressing like everyone else to get tickets.

The energy at msg when the lights go down is reason enough to go... and you're right, it's because of the hardcover travelers
well i'd make no apologies for attending those shows. There is a legend around seeing PJ at the MSG. I wouldn't think a local fan is any more entitled than anyone else.
There is a fan of this thread coming from South Africa....where is his local show? European fans arn't expected to have any local shows this year....so their option is to travel.
I'm going to be really pissed if I can't get tix to a hometown show... Good luck everyone!
We will find a way. I will be in that building both nights one way or another. I've got two non-PJ crazy friends that have already declared that they're "down" for one of these shows. I said "good luck getting tickets."

I've done a bit of travelling for shows but for this time round I can't. So yea, I agree with you on hometown allocation. And I have to say I don't think it's reasonable to compare NYC & Philly demand to other places, except maybe Chicago. It's just freaking insane here.

I live in San Diego and have been shut out at shows here. Not a big deal to me. There are always ways to get tickets. To me, half the fun of the shows is traveling and taking a vacation with friends and loved ones. If they come to Sd later this year, I would encourage everyone to come to this beautiful city. I'll get in the building one way or another! Just my thoughts of course.

Yep I know it will be a hassle but I'm in no matter what I have to do.
Just booked the flight for MSG 2 on may 2nd! I cant make it to night 1, but I WILL be there for night 2!!
I didnt enter any lotteries for this show. I'm going single, so hoping to pull a good single on Ticketmaster, or find something from the kind folks here!

Lucky you because Night 1 is the day of the 5 bro bike tour. Traffic will be bad!

PJ at the Garden is off the hook...i've went to MSG98 and 03 both nights. the place literally shakes. PJs first time in the MSG redo. Get ready!!!
NYC shows are notorious for talking, not at PJ cause they come from everywhere. safe travels and see you there
Coming from Scotland I was lucky enough to be at both shows in 2010. First night was great but that second night will live with me forever. To see your favourite band in a legendary venue and it to exceed all expectations, well it doesn't get any better. My problem is that I would love to go back to MSG, but that means no Fenway or Wrigley, can only afford one trip so which one to go for?????????? Thing is if it had been Barclays, then its hello Boston/Chicago.....funny that

@SVRDhand13 I saw someone do this for another show but maybe we should start a ticket pool if any of us get shut out from both shows. What do you think? I trust your judgement.

Shouldn't they have just skipped Fenway and Wrigley and done an 8 night run at MSG over a couple weeks PJ25? Witness the fact that this thread is longer than those and it seats a third of what those do. It's the easiest place to get to from all over the world and if you've never been there, there is nothing, and I mean nothing like the feeling you get just walking in this place. All due respect to Wrigley and the dump in Boston, but sorry it's MS freakin G.
Yeah, Dolans a douche and they'd probably have to sacrifice some of their guidelines of living, but it simply makes so much more sense than outdoor stadium shows.

Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Sure, we can use this as a hub to get tix if people are shut out of 10C and TM.

In for both nights but need to score tickets first lol.
Bucket list material and flying in from Iowa.
Not likely but if I score extras you'll be the first I contact, no lie.
Thanks homie. Been targeting traveling to see PJ at the Mecca for a while now. Seeing PJ at MSG and Gorge are bucket list items for me. These shows will be absolute monsters.
Keep in touch after the lotto and as we get closer to the tour. Always love meeting new and old PJ friends at shows. It's the beauty of it all, and the shows are just icing on the cake.
Best of luck to everyone to score tickets.

I'm all for more nights at MSG (my wife and I both have MSG shows as our #1 choice here). But if you want to skip lesser demand shows, don't go after Wrigley. Wrigley will sell out both shows. Look at the numbers on the shows down south. Still some 99%'s out there 5 days in to the lottery.
