Eddie Vedder on Facebook ? Legit ?

To the people who are in control of the Facebook page. Today I received a request to be Eddie Vedders friend ( imagine my joy ...) I already follow the Eddie Vedder page and Jeff Aments so I thought perhaps it was some upgrade ( I'm not too computer savvy) then he sent me a message on messenger ???! Suspicious saying thank you for support and hoping I always listen to his music. Now the page also states Kelly Curtis management and some good pics so I'm not really sure what is going on ? Is this something I should block and unfriend or are all my dreams coming true ?? Thanks in advance

    Ha thanks for the humour.... Some celebs do actually connect with their fans that's the only reason I hesitated. I'm more concerned about all the others who might actually be scammed into something that could have been prevented.

    It's true. MANY do actually, on facebook and Twitter (Joseph Arthur and Richard Stuverud are personally active on FB, FYI. And plenty of celebrities are all over Twitter, tweeting their personal shit, lol, and interacting with fans. William Shatner almost seems addicted to it. Ricky Gervais interacts with fans a lot, and sometimes trolls, haha). Eddie DOES have a legit facebook account. He's the one with the blue check mark by his name, and with over 2 million followers. But he doesn't post on that himself. His assistant or maybe someone at 10C or something post non-personal shit, like the thank you from the EB donation thing, photos from shows, song lyrics, etc. Unfortunately, Eddie isn't on there himself lol'ing and liking our dumb memes or anything. :lol: And his page doesn't ask you to be his friend. It's an official FB fan page.

    Some do. Though some just let a family member or close friend run their official "verified" pages & Facebook accounts.
