Eddie Vedder on Facebook ? Legit ?

To the people who are in control of the Facebook page. Today I received a request to be Eddie Vedders friend ( imagine my joy ...) I already follow the Eddie Vedder page and Jeff Aments so I thought perhaps it was some upgrade ( I'm not too computer savvy) then he sent me a message on messenger ???! Suspicious saying thank you for support and hoping I always listen to his music. Now the page also states Kelly Curtis management and some good pics so I'm not really sure what is going on ? Is this something I should block and unfriend or are all my dreams coming true ?? Thanks in advance

Right I've unfriend etc but a lot of people are accepting and I
Afraid they are gonna get scammed. Can't the powers that be shut it down ?

Ha thanks for the humour.... Some celebs do actually connect with their fans that's the only reason I hesitated. I'm more concerned about all the others who might actually be scammed into something that could have been prevented.

It's true. MANY do actually, on facebook and Twitter (Joseph Arthur and Richard Stuverud are personally active on FB, FYI. And plenty of celebrities are all over Twitter, tweeting their personal shit, lol, and interacting with fans. William Shatner almost seems addicted to it. Ricky Gervais interacts with fans a lot, and sometimes trolls, haha). Eddie DOES have a legit facebook account. He's the one with the blue check mark by his name, and with over 2 million followers. But he doesn't post on that himself. His assistant or maybe someone at 10C or something post non-personal shit, like the thank you from the EB donation thing, photos from shows, song lyrics, etc. Unfortunately, Eddie isn't on there himself lol'ing and liking our dumb memes or anything. And his page doesn't ask you to be his friend. It's an official FB fan page.

Some do. Though some just let a family member or close friend run their official "verified" pages & Facebook accounts.

To everyone who thinks they are talking to Eddie Vedder. The blue checkmark means nothing. They are copied and posted to make the account look legit. Every time you see one do a google search and they all come up. I love the one that was a club card lol! There were several styles on Google.. I know this from my own research I have done for months. I talk to who it is after protecting my computer. Some are nice, but most always end up asking you to buy them a Apple Card because the band equipment is broken lol....Or they can get you a backstage pass lol Recently the truck posts where people win trucks. Now then there are the ones where they're looking for sexual encounters..Are you a virtuous woman?  I loved the guy that wanted 200.00 because PJ was leaving on tour and their equipment broke and they needed 200.00 right away they had no money lmao! So there was poor fake EV begging for 200.00. 
If EV wanted to talk to you he would click on your post with the real EV acct logo. Not the one they have copied. The same thing for all the rest of the group. The PJ in black group has fakes posting on there also. There was a post by one of PJ band telling fans it is not him commenting. I forget which it was. You can tell an original verified acct. It clearly tells you the site is run by several people hired to post pictures and answer questions on the page. It doesn't allow messages.  They do try to give you different chat options. You can at least block all your information but look out it might end up sexual or porn. Telegram or one that starts with an S are their favorites. They seem to be working at the same time they leave and come back but they could be trying to search your information as much as they can. I hope this keeps you safe!

Oh I forgot they also now have AI so they can play EV voice trying to prove to you it's Eddie. But it's messed up in the beginning. lol

Oh my God, I didn’t realize this has been happening probably since before 2013 I never really ever got on Facebook until maybe like six months ago and it is absolutely horrible with all the fake Eddie Vedder now it’s every member of the band that they are impersonating on top of scamming I accidentally wrote it Under the help category .. anyways, I just got done sending a big huge long email trying to explain how horrible it is and these poor new Pearl Jam fans aren’t able to know that no band Member is going to ask you to message them privately and none of the band members are going to talk to them personally it’s really sad. I’ve been a fan for 33 yrs.. so I already knew immediately without even looking at the stupid webpage that it was bullshit.. But unfortunately, the newer Pearl Jam fans Actually, even a lot of the older Pearl Jam fans don’t realize it’s absolutely not him. It’s confusing to them!.. Totally not cool
