Yup, they're happening. And if the undercard leak is true then this year's Roo has the makings of another stellar festival in small-town TN. After three years of fun in the sun ('08, '09, '10) I said I'd only return to the Roo only if PJ played again. May be time to start making rental reservations for an RV.....sgtppr67 said:
That list was missing all 3 headliners. They are there, it is happening.Weston1283 said:Bonnaroo artists leaked onto the Bonnaroo app. According to that, Pearl Jam is NOT on the Bonnaroo bill.

I agree. Roo is fun as hell.sgtppr67 said:
Jazz fest and Bonnaroo are different beasts altogether. Jazz fest is 2 weekends and no camping which adds to the overall cost of attending. If you've never been to Bonnaroo before, you just can't comprehend the amount of fun there is to be had there. Headliners are great and i cant wait for my favorite band to come back, but it is the experience as a whole that has me looking forward to that weekend all year long. Give it a shot come to TN.RoleModelsinBlood31 said:
Yeah other than the headliners- LCD is cool and the dead is kinda cool they're doing a fest- are super lame. After you see a lineup like jazz fest it's hard to appreciate this.rr165892 said:Horrible line up

Oh thanks man, In my younger years I would in a heartbeat. I used to do all the phish festivals in the 90's and berkfest and all those so I know the camping experience. Trying to convince a 7 month old pregnant woman to sleep in a tent in June may be tough thoughsgtppr67 said:

I'll live vicariously through you guys, that lineup just isn't good enough for me to make me deal with the madness, when I can drive to jazz fest and get done at 7pm like an old man!!!I'm like an opening band for your mom.0 -

Do you have to purchase for the whole 4 days or can you catch PJ just for the one day they perform? Ive never been to Roo before and wouldnt know what to do once i got there. Any veterans on here have any tips for surviving the June heat for 4 days?0

+1 on the RV. Tennessee is hot as hell come June. And, yes, you have to purchase tix for full festival...no single day passes are sold.lolobugg said:

They do sell single day passes (usually March-ish). But if you haven't done Roo...try it once. I go every year, and beating the heat means knowing your own limits and taking it easy during peak sun hours. It takes somebody I am dying to see to get me out of camp before 3. But there is so much to do, and so much fun to be had all over the farm and in camping (I camp in Groop Camping. If anyone attends, visit SooperGroop on Wednesday night. We have a welcome to Roo party, DJ and all).jjflash said:

While I hate the Roo and will not go, I definitely recommend checking out Bully. Local Nashville band that I'm checking out again Friday night at a nice small club. As it should be.
It sucks that this killed a proper Nashville show. I'd much rather travel then go to the Roo. It sucks to be old, but I did my stint at festivals and it's definitely a young person's game. Now, get off my lawn!
See ya in Atlanta or Lexington or the like.0 -
