So what are the odds now of winning?

The same as before. Depends how many tickets you bought.

    Found this on Google:

There are 292.2 million possible combinations of the five white balls and red Powerball. That's where the odds come from, and they stay the same regardless of how big the jackpot grows or how many people buy tickets.

The odds of any Powerball jackpot are one in 292.2 million........

The most correct statement so far regarding the odds of winning.

The probability of winning is 1 in ~292 million.

I knew the size of the jackpot didn't change the odds. But not how many times you played

There were people who won with the 5 numbers. But not many people play 13 which was the powerball. I play 13 a lot. But I didn't put it as the powerball. Could've won $4

You've got better odds letting the machine choose for you. If I win, it's been nice knowing all of you.

I just do auto pick. This is the first time I have done anything more than a scratch off now and then. I hit 50$ on a birthday gift ticket a few weeks ago so maybe I have some mojo going.

The only "inside info" I know about lottery is that playing birthday numbers is very common, so when they hit, the prize is shared by more people and is therefore smaller.

I played 13 powerball but that was the only match. So I won $3, enough to buy one powerball ticket and one super lotto plus this week. I'm happy to play on their dime!

I'll just ask Zuckerberg or Gates to loan me $292 million and play all the combinations. And I'll have about 500 million after I pay them back. Or I'll run away with their money

you'd have to double that. Each line is $2.

You'd actually lose money. A lot. The lump sum payout is $806 million before federal & state taxes. You'd likely only clear $480-520 million. Playing all possible combinations at $2 per ticket is $584 million. So instead of being a billionaire, you'd actually be in debt by 8 or 9 figures. And that's the best case scenario of no one else hitting the jackpot but you.

Dreaming about such a big win is fun. What would I do with a million bucks to what would I do with a billion bucks? lol. And I think right now you would get 850 million, less 25% for federal taxes and then state tax. I would rather we won at work as a group than me win myself....

My prediction is 5 winners for the big pot
