Vault #6 i'm guessing will be something from 04 or 07 but fingers crossed it's 95-96.

i thought 10C has been on record saying they can't release anything from 04 because of legalities.
i think because the shows were fundraisers for PACs or something. i don't remember if it was on 10C radio with Tim B or one of the ask us whatever threads, but there was definitely discussion about this in the past.
I haven't heard this. They did release a movie from the tour, so hopefully some audio someday. Those were cool shows with great setlists

Solely speaking on the quality of the vinyl itself I'm super pleased. Mine sounds fantastic and they did a great job. Good packaging and a great addition to the collection. Thanks 10c!

Yes. Eddie just belts out the songs and Dave belts out the drums.

Don't mind me lol a little late to the party. It hasn't been said here - pardon me if this has already been mentioned else where.....

Why the hell does my vault start out with a speaker melting kick ass version of Animal  ?? Not complaining - but my first 2 songs were Animal into daughter....is my tracking jacked? Pretty sure my cd player isn't set on a shuffle default.....? Haven't had a sec to check the tour log to see what's posted there.

I agree with Echos. Why the F aren't we discussing that wicked version of Deep?? What a beaut!

I'm only about 5 songs in but what an explosive energy! But where the F is the crowd? Is this really a live recording?? I hear like zero crowd noise.

So far thoroughly pleased. Gimme more!
Oh please let it rain today.

Strictly speaking of the tonal quality of PJ'S instruments, I think 92-94 gave us the best sounding live shows.

Disagree. Dave had a horrible drum sound live. Really trashy, too tight and the overuse of cymbals just hurts ears. Good drummer, horrible sound. Jack and Matt have a much smoother more natural sound.
    I second this.

what I like the most about old boots is the songs played before their album release...

    Tremor Christ?

Love this show. Really enjoyed Ain't nothin to do. Porch was fast as lightning-sharp and tight! Got my heart rate up lol at one point I looked down and I was going 70 in a residential - then my heart dropped haha!

Love me some Leash - we're young for now bahahaha! Could hear the crowd on that one!!

Excellent show. Would have liked to hear more crowd noise and I understand they cut out some songs but I hate that the track listing was all fucked up.

It's a great one. Wish it was available in 24Bit Flac-HD. :p Wish they kept pumping out more Vault releases every year @ the 10club. But before they do that at least get the first 5 all up to date.

    - No Vinyl release for Vault 1 or 2.

    - Flac-HD release for only 3 & 4. None for 1, 2 & 5. Vault 2 was Vic 2007. If they were able to release a 24Bit Flac-HD release of Vault 3 which was from 1998, they could of released the Flac-HD release for Vic 2007. Vault 5 - 11/30/93 Aladdin Theater, Las Vegas, NV & Vault 1 1/17/92 Moore Theatre, Seattle, WA .. will probably never be released in 24Bit Flac-HD.
  • So I listened to this the other day - am I the only one that think this LP sounds excessively bright? Almost like the treble has been artificially boosted? There seems to be very little of Jeff or Dave's kick drum in Porch for example...

Every other record sounds fine - am using a Poject Debut Carbon Espirit SB with Arcam Alpha 8 pre and power amps.

I feel the same way. I think it's super trebley and the vocals are mixed way too high, at least for my tastes.

    Great show though.

You need to get your hands on the mp3 they released about a decade ago. It's sad that an mp3 from ten years ago sounds better than this vault version.

Will definitely check that out. I used my 10C voucher for the Vic show based upon the recommendation from this thread. I remember trying to get tickets to that one and getting skunked, not sure why I never tried to listen to it.

Yeah the performance is great - just such a shame about the sound mix. I'll just have to remove to take the 'source direct' option off on the amp and really boost the bass (or restrain the treble) when I listen to it. This will be literally the only LP I need to do this on, so something has clearly gone a bit wrong here. Does anyone know if that dodgy bootleg sounds any better?
