I'm not posting pictures on here, good lord hells no!!! My eyes only, password protected too!

I stepped on the scale and did some measurements. Uggh, no wonder my pants feel snug in the waist.

Last year my PJ SS gave me a PJ gift card and I scooped up the green sweatsuit. They only had it in medium. That suit will make a premier at PJ25 if I have to lose 25 pounds lol....

I asked one of my cardiologists if I needed to lose weight, and he said, "you're good." I would like to be a better runner, though.

I'll lose weight. You run. I don't run. Not unless something is after me. See me running? You should too.

In all seriousness, we support you in your goal. Do you have a time goal, distance goal or what type of goal? Though I'm not a runner, my SIL is a marathon runner. (She has run MCM in your town and I was there!) I understand the goal portion of running. I admire you for running.

I just dropped $100 at TJ Maxx but got some great new work out duds. Ok, now I'm out the door for the gym. Just walking for about 45 minutes on the treadmill. Ease into it :-)

    Great job sprunk and rk!

My all time favorite veggie is cauliflower! If you haven't used it to substitute potato give it a try!

Just boil the cauliflower - drain. You can eat plain or add a little fat free or reduced sour cream.

    Yum!

Actually, the best way to have it is to boil the cauliflower, drain the water, throw away the cauliflower and then make potatoes.

Cauliflower is huge! I'll roast it, which I love and I'll use it instead of rice. just shred it with a grater and cook in a frying pan with ghee and some olive oil. I'm going to cook the lime chicken tmr. Making my grocery list and will shop in the morning.

Also looking for a good morning smoothie I can whip up before heading out the door. A green one probably with kale and avocado. Something that will keep me full till lunch! Breakfast is my downfall!!!!

Protein and fiber are good ways to keep you full. I try for at least 20g of protein in a smoothie/shake. Also, you want 'slow carbs' like steel cut oats for the fiber part-rolled or instant oats are not slow carbs. The white refined flours are what make you fat, unless you're going to go running or something right after eating.

Overnight steel cut oats are my favorite:

Bring 4 cups water to a boil in a pot. Add 1 cup steel cut oats. Boil for 2 minutes, turn off heat, cover and in the morning it's ready to be reheated. Soft and chewy. You can store the rest in the fridge for later.

    OR

6 oz of yogurt-greek is best
add 1/4 cup steel cut oats
    Stir.
Add in anything else you like, honey, fruit, vanilla, a little bit of milk so it's not as thick...I like hemp hearts and chia seeds for the extra protein and omega-3s.
Let it sit overnight in the fridge
    Done.

I actually bought those canning jelly jars so I could make several jars of yogurt to grab and go. I found that the oats stay pretty tough if you leave it overnight, but 24+ hours is best.

You can try without yogurt, and use a 1 cup milk to 1/4 cup oats ratio, though milk doesn't have as much protein.

I just did some research on what Costco has for protein powders. I'll be grabbing one of those bad boys tomorrow, along with plenty of veggies. Coconut water is on sale too. Debating on grabbing one of their cases of premade shakes (on sale also) just to have for when I draw a blank on what to eat. Not the ideal food but it will be there for a crutch for when I'm running late or just too tired to cook or even take out the blender
