I asked my bro who brews , the answer was no fucking chance. People line up like we do for posters for it. Long gone sorry
  • I know they're long gone and THANK YOU for trying.
I'm hoping that someone has a bottle that they'd like to trade or sell.

    Thanks!!!

Okay, so this will sound dumb, but are they just sold by the bottle? I went to the Goose site and there appears to be some at a place not too too far from me. I can try calling and seeing if they have it.

update: sorry, just called them and they are out. Goose needs to update their site.

These were only released out in Chicago and are only in the hands of beer collectors or fiscally minded people.

Thanks for trying. This was on tap and in bottles but again Chitown only.

They are out there! Just a little harder to find. Maybe I should try on AET?
  • Yeah, it showed me the bars who have it. It said there were 2 liquor stores with it still in stock. One was close to me, but they were out.

I think I might be able to get a bottle. I'll try to check tonight and let you know if you're still interested.

Yeah $75 is more than the "rare" beer. I don't want it that bad to pay $75, lol!
  • You have to hit up the good beer bars in the city. But it will cost you, I know a couple places that still have the Rare at $80-90 and Proprietors at $50-60. Only problem is they won't sell them to anyone who walks in off the street to consume off-premises.

I got lucky and have an account that sold me the Propietors, Barley, Coffee, and BCBS for $50. He said he couldn't budge much on the Rare price as he could sell it for $90 and make great profit. I didn't want to take profit from him and didn't really want to spend over $50 for a single 16.9oz of beer!

Another account gave me a Propierors as an Xmas gift, it is better than last year's.

Would you care to trade that 2nd Proprietor? That's the only one I need as I have the others.

    PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!?!?!?!

If so, let me see if I can get another (which is probable). I want to keep this Proprietor, as I cellar them for a year or so. Normally just the BCBS, but never stored a Propietors so I want to see what this '15 will be like next year.

What are u thinking for trade and where are you located?
  • Still floating around. On my walk home I pass a liquor store and spotted a blue case on the floor behind the register. Couldn't believe they sold me both.

You are so lucky! I use to love being able to be cases of bcbs at binnys with no issues. Now it's much harder to get. Proprietors is on my short list of most wanted beers. I have some cool stuff if anyone wants to trade ;)

How much were the bottles of Proprietor? I just had some of the barleywine and I have 14 bottles of the regular Bourbon County in my fridge.

I'll trade you a bottle of Finback BQE for one of those Proprietors. The BQE is more rare than the Prop.

    $30 from what I've read.
  • These props were $40. I'd pass on the Finback, most likely I'll hold onto my extra and bring it to an event for trade - hopefully hit Dark Lord and/or Darkness Day next year. KBS Week sounds cool too.
