Thank you!8bitj said:
I think I might be able to get a bottle. I'll try to check tonight and let you know if you're still interested.tempo_n_groove said:Anybody in the Chi town area have access to the Goose Island release of Proprietor?
Yeah $75 is more than the "rare" beer. I don't want it that bad to pay $75, lol!TFlyer said:
It looks like these people by me have it https://beermenus.com/places/28197-emmetts But they are charging a hefty fee per bottle for their beerstempo_n_groove said:
These were only released out in Chicago and are only in the hands of beer collectors or fiscally minded people.TFlyer said:Didn't know this was so rare. Total Wine by me had it, no idea if they still do? I am guessing not?

You have to hit up the good beer bars in the city. But it will cost you, I know a couple places that still have the Rare at $80-90 and Proprietors at $50-60. Only problem is they won't sell them to anyone who walks in off the street to consume off-premises.
I got lucky and have an account that sold me the Propietors, Barley, Coffee, and BCBS for $50. He said he couldn't budge much on the Rare price as he could sell it for $90 and make great profit. I didn't want to take profit from him and didn't really want to spend over $50 for a single 16.9oz of beer!
Another account gave me a Propierors as an Xmas gift, it is better than last year's.0 -
Would you care to trade that 2nd Proprietor? That's the only one I need as I have the others.InBetweenIsMne said:You have to hit up the good beer bars in the city. If so, let me see if I can get another (which is probable). I want to keep this Proprietor, as I cellar them for a year or so. Normally just the BCBS, but never stored a Propietors so I want to see what this '15 will be like next year.
What are u thinking for trade and where are you located?0 -
Still floating around. On my walk home I pass a liquor store and spotted a blue case on the floor behind the register. Couldn't believe they sold me both.0

Good looking family0

You are so lucky! I use to love being able to be cases of bcbs at binnys with no issues. Now it's much harder to get. Proprietors is on my short list of most wanted beers. I have some cool stuff if anyone wants to tradehippiemom = goodness0

How much were the bottles of Proprietor? I just had some of the barleywine and I have 14 bottles of the regular Bourbon County in my fridge.Pearl Jam - ST. I'll trade you a bottle of Finback BQE for one of those Proprietors. The BQE is more rare than the Prop. The Stugots said:Still floating around. On my walk home I pass a liquor store and spotted a blue case on the floor behind the register. Couldn't believe they sold me both.
$30 from what I've read.Papaljuice said:How much were the bottles of Proprietor? I just had some of the barleywine and I have 14 bottles of the regular Bourbon County in my fridge.

These props were $40. I'd pass on the Finback, most likely I'll hold onto my extra and bring it to an event for trade - hopefully hit Dark Lord and/or Darkness Day next year. KBS Week sounds cool too.0

I've got KBS too, lol.The Stugots said:These props were $40. I'd pass on the Finback, most likely I'll hold onto my extra and bring it to an event for trade - hopefully hit Dark Lord and/or Darkness Day next year. KBS Week sounds cool too.
All the masses aren't keen on the BQE yet. Only real beer snobs know about it, lol.0 -
I wonder if this stuff is distributed in Michigan?0
-
Neither one is. The BQE and Proprietor. Locals only stuff. The other goose island stuff is national.buck502000 said:I wonder if this stuff is distributed in Michigan?

Darklord day is fun...but crazy. For a few years in a row, we hit Founders Black Party....it's the weekend after Darklord and it's awesome. Generally we started weekend in Chicago at breweries and bars, hit 3 floyds, then up to founders stopping at various breweries each year (Livery, Darkhorse, Bells, Shoreline....). Also hit Hopcat in Grand Rapids, etc. It's a blast and I recommend. The Stugots said:These props were $40. I have some 2009, 2010 BCBS and old KBBS plus tons of other stuff I'd trade for a bottle of Prop. I actually have a 07-15 vertical of regular bcbs but only 1 bottle of 2007. Might have a 2008 to trade. I do have a 2008 coffee BCBS from original batch. Lots of wicked weed, toppling goliath, bruery, etc.hippiemom = goodness0 -
I'm posting pics tonight of my possible trades...0
