If they released Live on Two Legs it makes me think they recorded the whole Yield tour. If they did, they should release the entire set of boots. Awesome tour.If I knew where it was, I would take you there.

one of my favorite shows I attended. I'd love for them to release this.narnia said:This morning I heard the 7/13/98 LA show on PJ Radio. The quality was very good, it sounded like SB to me. Are there SB recordings of these early shows, and if so why doesn't PJ release them?
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0 -
I think there are. That how they released msg as a vault. Someone leaked the DAT for Seattle II '98 a long long time ago. I assume that those were available for every show on the tour. Not to mention they had to source the longs on Lo2L from somewhere

Agree. Although I somehow suspect that the tape would be bad on any cover song, as we've seen with most vault releases.calvo17 said:If they released Live on Two Legs it makes me think they recorded the whole Yield tour. If they did, they should release the entire set of boots. Awesome tour.

The LA 98 tapes are not from the soundboard. They're from the ALD. I'm not going to get into what that is here, so you'll have to look it up.0

I remember an interview w/ Stone when the 2k boots were released he said he listened to every show of the 98 tour (or a ton of them at least) to pick out the LO2L songs so I am guessing bare minimum we should have more 98 shows available...I would buy them all.0

What is an ALD (Assisted Listening Device) recording?
Bootleggers can request an ALD (Assisted Listening Device) headset at an arena concert (required by law for hearing impaired fans), which provides a high-quality feed of a live show using a low-level FM frequency broadcast inside a facility. Bootleggers will tape this headset feed, giving the bootleg not usual problems like random crowd noise or distortion.

Me too. With all due respect to Boom I wold like more stuff from before he arrived. The sound is a little rawer (more raw?).TL170678 said:I remember an interview w/ Stone when the 2k boots were released he said he listened to every show of the 98 tour (or a ton of them at least) to pick out the LO2L songs so I am guessing bare minimum we should have more 98 shows available...I would buy them all.

I believe the word you're looking for is rawerest. Count me in as another person who would buy the entire '98 tour. Everything doesn't have to be on vinyl, open the vault and get the music out.rummy said:Me too. With all due respect to Boom I wold like more stuff from before he arrived. It's a known fact that the band has recorded most all of their shows, especially from the mid-90's on. I mean I feel pretty certain I've read that or have heard it numerous times so someone correct me if I'm wrong. Assuming it's true, thinking about the possibilities gets me excited in ways I'd rather not get into here...0

"Rawerest"! - Classic! That's right out of my dictionary!
 :rock_on:
I thought I read or heard somewhere that the reason they did LOTL was because there were either several issues with a lot of the recordings or maybe it was that the band wasn't completely satisfied with how the boots sounded. Maybe it was just that the boots didn't meet their expectations.
I do not know the source of any things that I just stated and I could very well be wrong on all of it.
So, carry on...

I taped one of the Binaural shows with one of those hearing impaired devices. The ALD is often mixed with an audience recording to make it sound fuller.wecrazybob said:I taped one of the Binaural shows with one of those hearing impaired devices. The quality was decent but it was a mono signal.

As I have said in many other threads, I'd take a Live On Two Legs 2 as a vault release. Sure, complete shows a better but I'll take whatever I can get from the mid/late-1990's.0
