I read on Twitter that Wolfmother is playing a free STP show.

    Does anyone know of this?

Andrew Stockdale said it. "Free show tilt of the hat Wolfmother/STP gig at the Northern Byron Bay".

His brother died of a heart condition, same thing that might of happened to him?

Was it just a heart condition, or a heart condition brought on by addiction? I always thought his brother also had those issues.

Hey one person posted this, but Shangri la dee da is a great album. Underrated. Most people cite Core and Purple but they kept writing some good music. Shangri had 4-5 great songs and a bunch of other good songs.

that may have been me, i did post something like that in another thread. i do think shangri la is underrated although i do think their previous albums were better, that one flew under the radar.

their self titled album was ok. i only dug a handful of songs.

  • i guess i'm like a lot of people here... We all kind of "saw this coming", but we've been"seeing this coming" for 20 years. I think, myself, at least, I thought that he had made it so long without it actually happening, that maybe it wouldn't.

I was lucky enough to see him a few times with STP and once with Velvet Revolver and he never let down. Great frontman with a very distinctive stage presence. It's too bad we'll never get to see him perform again, I loved his work.

Makes you appreciate those from the 90's still around like Vedder and Cornell...lost so many from that era...I stopped following Weiland musically for awhile, but got into VVR, for the most part would listen here and there but always rooted for him to get it together, but after seeing videos of him messed up while performing I feared this ending...RIP

Listening to Blaster today. Man, what a great record. Scott had SO much more music in him too.
