I knew this was gonna happen if he didn't clean his act up. Grew up listening to STP in junior high and high school. I actually listened to him being a guest DJ on 100.3 FM The Sound in L.A. and he sounded like he didn't want to be there. I could tell he was in his last days and now he went the way of Layne, Winehouse and, his idol, Jim Morrison.JUST.SAY.NO.

The saddest part about this was its inevitability. He always had an amazing voice, it's so tragic that he couldn't get his shit together.

Extremely sad. If you follow him the past month or so have been leading towards something being "not right".
 Always rooted for him.0

Very sad but not suprising at all. STP gets lost too much in the great era that was the early 90's. Those first two STP albums were right up there with PJ, Nirvana and everyone else in quality.

He always appeared to be pointed in the direction of an abbreviated stay here. Sad news nonetheless. RIP, Scott.0

he seemed to be on the straight and narrow. it's entirely possible he didn't die of an overdose. he may have died of natural causes due to all the damage he did to his body over the years. I wouldn't have been shocked if this happened a few years ago, but I find it shocking now.
his poor family. first his brother and now him.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0

The problem is that we would clean up for a bit, then falter, then clean up again, so on and so forth for 20+ years.HughFreakingDillon said:he seemed to be on the straight and narrow. it's entirely possible he didn't die of an overdose. he may have died of natural causes due to all the damage he did to his body over the years.
