    Interested to see the rankings tonight. Say the following scenario plays out, as unlikely as it may be. Iowa loses to neb but beats msu, ok st beats ok, unc beats clemson and fl beats bama. This gives you the following 8 major 1 loss teams. Whos in?

    I think it would be easy:
    Iowa
    Ohio State (IMO when in question, defending champs should get in)
    Baylor (assuming they beat TCU and Texas)
    Florida

    1st out
    Clemson

    I expect Stanford to beat Notre Dame. Even if Notre Dame lucks into a win, I dont want to reward them for avoidance into that Independent Schedule.


    8 teams would be perfect IMO. Power 5 automatic bids, any undefeated or 1-loss super impressive mid-major, and the rest at-large

    Since it's about ratings and brand schools osu would sadly get in even though they don't deserve to. If you don't even win the division of your conf you have no business making the playoff. It was bs when it was bama lsu a few yrs ago.

    I wouldn't be surprised one bit if UNC rips Clemson a new one. And I think you'd absolutely have to consider UNC for the Playoff should it happen.

    I don't really look at it as "leaping over" other teams. And neither should the committee. UNC already deserves to be much higher than they are. Currently there are three 2-loss teams directly ahead of UNC in the committee selection, as well as 1-loss Ohio State who isn't playing this weekend.
