...with tears streaming down my face and chills in my bones. I had just witnessed one of the most cathartic performances by a band imaginable. It was my 10th time seeing the band, and the show solidified my feelings that this band puts on the greatest shows. Period. Remember, remember, the Sixth of November!

    It's interesting you say that, because they did the same thing with Phoenix/Las Vegas. Phoenix seemed like a trial run for the 10th anniversary show the next night.

    Boise doesn't have the specially crafted first encore that directly and indirectly addresses the Roskilde tragedy.

    Agreed about Boise. It has always been a hidden gem amongst the many 2000 bootlegs.

    Boise is my go to 2000 boot. Ansolutely killer of a show.

    Haha, yea. I never understand the need to say something else was better. You were just trying to express a wonderful experience that you had. That's the kind of feeling I chase. As long as I continue to experience moments like that, I will keep going to concerts, whether Pearl Jam or any other band.

    Agreed. Everyone's going to have a different show that they feel good about. I don't see why anyone needs to respond to OP saying another show was better. That's all I'm saying. It's like me telling someone about my favourite band Pearl Jam and having them say "Nirvana was better". Womp womp.

    Thanks. You're completely right. I wasn't bashing Seattle II. I had the good fortune of see the final four shows of that tour (Portland, Boise, Seattle I and II). Boise and Seattle II were absolutely the standouts. Boise was my favorite show for a long while until gorge 05, now it sits #2 (or maybe #3, I loved the hell out of Vancouver '13).

    Best part of Seattle II was Alive. They didn't play it for the entire N.A. tour that year (due to the roskilde incident). They brought it back for the final show of the tour. A lot of emotion from the band/crowd while they played it. It's a strong memory I carry with me from that show.

    It's nice to dwell on the golden days of Seattle shows where they played more than one night :)

    I was able to catch 7 of the shows on the final leg of the 2000 tour, and they were all fantastic in their own right. It was my first time traveling to see a band, and I sure picked the right band! The Vegas 10th Anniversary show was only my 5th time seeing them (and 3rd full show because I saw them at the Bridge School Benefit in '99). It seemed like the band was under a lot of adversity and they used the shows to try and work their way through it. I wasn't at Boise, but from everything I hear about it, it sounds like it was an amazing show!

    I apologize to you about the comment I made about starting another thread for Boise. It was just my intent to recognize the anniversary of the show and to see how other people viewed Seattle II, and it was perfectly valid of you to express your opinion. You really didn't need to go back and edit your post.

    I just went to pull up the show in flac on my computer because I've mostly forgotten Seattle I (except crown of thorns). I saw timeless melody and clicked on it (forgot this was one of the 2000 cover staples). Strange singer singing... then I remember Supergrass opened Portland, Boise, and Seattle I (we got wellwater conspiracy for night 2). Then I remember we had RHCP opening both Seattle shows too. That was pretty epic. I remember both Seattle shows going quite late for arena shows. I think Seattle II got out after 12:30, 1am ish. They've never played Key that late again.. lol.

    Yeah, I think Seattle I gets a bad rap because of the crowd. The band played a great set. And so did RHCP, on both nights.
