From the time the band arrived at the airport in Buenos Aires to the time we left we were treated wonderfully by all the Argentine Incubus fans. Once we were in town things were a bit more relaxed than our visit to Chile and it allowed the guys an opportunity to go out and take in a bit of the local vibe of Buenos Aires. Typically when I travel I stay close to the hotel and leave the sightseeing to the band guys but this time I tagged along as well and had a great time. We visited some great, vibey neighborhoods and had a quiet lunch (and a great margarita) at some funky local restaurant and nobody had a clue who the band guys were or even gave a shit if they did. It was fun.
As for the show, I can honestly say it was one of the best I've ever seen and I've seen my share of Incubus shows. What was interesting for me personally, was watching the guys play and really trying to imagine what it was like if this was the very first time I was seeing the band just like the rest of the audience.
And the only thing I could compare it to was when I saw the Rolling Stones (my favorite band) for the very first time in 1972. By then the Stones had been around for a while and were at the very top of their game. I was 16 years old and seeing that show had a profound impact on me and ultimately fueled my ambition to be in the music business. I remember watching Mick Jagger and thinking how much I would like to walk in his shoes for just one night.
Well I must confess that as I watched the show I was thinking how much I wished the band could stand in my shoes and see and feel the energy from a fan's eye view. I'll also confess that just like my first concert 35 years ago, I wished that for just one song I could walk in the band's shoes and see what it looked like from their view.
It was what I like to call "a great night at the office".
On behalf of the band we'd like to thank all of you for your undying support of the band and we look forward to returning in the not too distant future.
Cheers,

If you follow every dream
