All in all the weather was perfect, it was a beautiful day/night to be out and about in Central Park. The version of Imagine was great, clear skies, full moon while Eddie sang. John Lennon would be proud.

that was a great moment in time. so close to where Lennon lived, loved and lost his life. beautiful tribute. Too bad MSNBC didn't think so.

Youtube clips wont do it justice. Gonna need 1080p and great sound to relive that. Most fun ive ever had watching them on TV ever.

I had an amazing time seeing my PJ friends and making new ones. The Fellas were awesome.
Coldplay was a terrific way to open up. I will never again need to see Beyonce.

It was a great day out and a great trip to NY. The only thing that really annoyed me was the hypocrisy of the Google CEO. Google is one of 6 companies that turned over more than £14billion in the UK last year but paid less than 1% corporation tax. If Google, Facebook, Amazon, Starbucks, Apple, eBay (can anyone see a theme developing here on these companies country of origin) paid up the UK could end poverty in its own country completely and build schools and hospitals and have money left over for overseas aid. I was one of the people who booed when the Google CEO was on stage. Fully justified in my opinion. Too many Companies want to be associated with positive change for PR purposes, not because they believe in these things.

    Oh, and Beyonce? Beyond parody.

The SiriusXM audio broadcast is very good. But I agree it would be great if they do an official Blu-ray release with the money raised going to charity.

My guess why there won't be an official release of Pearl Jam's Global Citizen Festival show is one thing. Beyoncé. She will probably not allow it. Just like Pearl Jam's Made In America show that included her husband Jay Z on W.M.A. / 99 Problems. That was the only '12 Pearl Jam show that wasn't officially released on CD, Flac & Flac-HD.

I remember Black and Alive were stellar that night. Too bad there was never an official boot.

Is his music any good?? Sorry, never heard anything from him. Picture looks familiar though??

I'm not much into hip hop, but I enjoy Common's music. Don't even know if he'll be a performer or presenter, though.

The Sept. 26 event that stars Beyonce, Pearl Jam and Coldplay is a highlight of the annual gathering of world leaders at the United Nations. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon will be there, along with several prime ministers and CEOs.

This is the first time I have noticed Beyonce listed before Pj. I wonder if Beyonce has moved into the closing spot?
I wouldn't read too much into it. They didn't even mention Ed Sheeran, who it seems will be going on before Coldplay (Chris Martin noted in a video Coldplay will only be doing a few songs/short set, so they are probably first).
So, this is kinda random. I'm on a flight out to Chicago to go to the NLCS games at Wrigley, and Common is sitting in 1st class.

Should I tell him he sucked dick at the GCF, or is that going too far?

I thought he was really good. Apparently Sting did too.

Black + rapper = thug. Great logic :dizzy: . Check out some of his music...he's anything but a thug.

Just start booing him from your seat like you did at GCF.

That would be awesome. Then tell him to push the fake red CEO button.

Oh wait, on a plane in the US they might arrest you for referencing a red button push.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.
