Rumor of Ed or full band at Walla Walla tonight?
A friend at the festival said she saw Ed walking around the camp grounds last night and the buzz around the festival is PJ is there and will be possibly performing with Mumford & Sons. Anyone have any idea of the truth to this?
For the love of the Jam, that is why I do it ...

Multiple concert stages, bountiful beer gardens, and more than a few social-media fueled claims about a possible surprise Pearl Jam performance.
Though a rumor Pearl Jam was to give a surprise performance downtown, it turned out not to be true. But lead singer Eddie Vedder was allegedly spotted at Sapolil Cellars, spurring more rumor the band might appear tonight or Saturday on one of two stages downtown or make an unbilled and unscheduled appearance on the main concert stage at the Whitman College athletic fields.
October is the driest and most moderate climate for pretty much the entire lower 48... aka perfect for a PJ road trip
Anyone remember Wrigley?
Of course there are exceptions, to everything, especially at any outdoor event ... my point is very simple... indoor arena tours in september/October present the mildest and generally most controlled environment for concerts
I bet some people in the rain at PJ20 wish that was indoors... or Alpine 2000... or Wrigley... or the Firefly festival this year that had to cancel their saturday headliner due to a storm... or the Kansas state fair whose stage was blown over and people died a few years ago
I have no beef with a summer amphitheater tour... but I definitely prefer a fall arena tour... and since 2008 it seems like PJ does too

The outdoor shows, yeah, hot, stinky, etc...but to hear Low Light and Present Tense as the sun is setting would be nice.
But one of the nicer things about the indoor shows is that there's a better chance for GA, there could be more bars nearby for pregaming or whatnot...
I can see the outdoor venues, especially those around cities eventually go away as the developers move in
