Surprises me. I really thought they would fry him. I would have like to see him be executed. No doubt this guy did the crime. Life in prison seems way to light of a penalty.

That's backwards, a humane execution ends his suffering, a life in prison prolongs his suffering.
Valid point. I guess I just want to see trash like this gone from the earth.

The part that is so brutal for the families is that the trial just brings them all right back to that horrible day and at the end they see the horrible human walk away Alive , they get to go home without their loved ones that has to be incredibly hard to take ......

    Yes.

This maggot needed to shit his pants walking toward the same fate he callously administered in his night of fun. We needed to emphatically decree 'death' for such an obscene display of depravity and remove his obscenity from the face of the earth. "F**k you, James. We have no tolerance for such nonsense. For your cold, callous, indifference towards human life... we sentence you to the same fate you sentenced others. Good bye and good riddance."

Quite frankly, a death sentence is the natural consequence for his crime. I'm still unclear how we think we are 'above' such behaviour by sparing him his life? These are the cases where we distinguish ourselves as highly intelligent and enlightened animals by exercising tolerance? I could think of countless other scenarios where we could do so better.

By the way, prepare yourself for the inevitable comments suggesting justice is not, nor should not, be designed to comfort or serve the families or victims of violence.

He needs to go, but if people feel this piece of shit deserves a chance at living... general population: no special cell with heightened efforts to ensure his shower time is relaxing.

If he cannot serve a penalty that sees him meet the same end he dished up for those people... then let him feel the tension and fear he delivered that evening on a daily basis.

There are a lot of really shitty people out there, but this f**king loser is a real champion- absolutely worthless.

I never have understood why people would advocate and encourage violence and crimes against someone just because they are a prisoner.
The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

This is an interesting way to describe administering justice and an appropriate punishment to a mass murderer.

See I just don't get emotional about criminals. Like this dude. He did the crime and he got caught. Keep him from hurting again and problem solved. Killing or wishing him harm does no good. Wouldn't deter another individual from doing this so what's the point. Killing is wrong. Two wrongs don't make a right. Killing can't be seen as a solution. What killers do.

Me neither. I don't get emotional either.

I don't even look at it like it might be a solution. We will never solve psychos from developing and murdering lots of people- there have been mass murderers and serial murderers from the inception of man. I look at it as justice. How is it justice that his victims are decomposing while he has warm showers, reads books, and has his meals and laundry done for him?
