I hope this start yesterday from Cain was a glimpse of what is to come. I hung onto him in fantasy baseball as I was vibing a bounceback year from him. He will hopefully make me look smart.

I just read an article that said Brandon Crawford, 20 mil a year shortstop. Since 2012 he has never finished lower in WAR for shortstops than #7 and this year is #1. Add in the fact he is from the area, grew up a Giants fan who the fans love and they put him at 20 mil per year on his extension. Who would have thought just a few years ago he would be a top shortstop in baseball.

Belt is also in the top 3 for first baseman in WAR. In totality we have the best infield in baseball and all 5 were homegrown players. Only Posey was a big time prospect. My how the times have changed when we could develop pitching but couldn't develop a hitter to save our lives.

No doubt. Now let him in the hall. He popped positive on a test that was supposed to be anonmyous and MLB said would not be used against the players. That should include HOF and it shouldn't count. As far as they know he could have been clean.

Aoki comes back Friday and we get close to full strength. Susaac is gone at the deadline. I don't know who we get for him but he will be the center piece of some big trade for someone like Price or Cueto. They are admitting behind the scenes he needs to play everyday and with them and Posey staying firm that Posey isn't moving from behind the plate he is blocked for a few years. He needs to finish developing and we don't have the spot to let him. We will lose Crick and a few other minor league guys but something good will come back. Giants have said Panik is untouchable thank god,

Did you have any idea the Giants have been painting a statue of a horses balls in Chicago orange everytime they are in town? It pre-dates when Jim Davenport was a rookie in 1958. I had no idea until my Chicago buddy sent me a message saying the city has decided it stops this year and are stepping up police at the statue. The Giants make the rookies do it every season as a right of passage. In 1986 there were 14 rookies so they took the team bus to the statue to paint them.

I think they did whiff and with the Rangers getting Hamels it leaves us in a better spot to get Price, who I prefered out of all the pitchers for trade. I just hope we don't trade Susaac for a rental pitcher. I know the Giants want Price this offseason so maybe they view this as a way to let him see how awesome we are beforehand.
