I too would love to see this box set come out someday. Hopefully they are taking a while because they are digging and polishing up a bunch of unreleased songs from that time period! And man it'd be so great to include some live 95'-98' stuff on vinyl
With Moline and Milwaukee happening in the fashion they did last year, and in such close proximity - I would think (and hope) it happens soon.

I will buy it regardless, but I wish they wouldn't remaster the albums when re released. Or at least offer both options as single lp's, the remastered and the un remastered. I always feel and I've said it many times before, that pressing shit on two discs is a pain in the ass.
Is the delay because of Legacy or the band? Speculate away..
The band. Been busy making an album touring since the last box.
Hopefully this one will have era specific shows/video and not the Moline/Milwaukee shows from last year. I have minimal interest watching the current band in the context of an older era. Its not a dig at PJ now, its more if you are gonna go to the trouble to focus on 96-98, make everything from that period.

I think the Band/Club are a little hesitant because the VS/Vitalogy wasn't a huge success. The problem with that though is those two were easily available before the re-issue and the demand wasn't there like it would be for the next two. I mean, shit, If people are dropping $75-$100 on colored bootleg versions, of course there's going to be a demand for an official release. Then you throw in a DVD of that era and a live vinyl(s) of the Moline and Milwaukee shows (or a bitchin' 98 show) and you will easily sell every one you make. That's a promise.
Why people buy the fake stuff, I'll never know.
Geek alert: When a record is made, they take the analog source and then apply it to the record. If you were to take a super-strong microscope and look at the groove, what you'd see is the actual analog soundwave. When the bootleggers make a fake one, they obviously don't have the original source. What they're doing is taking a high-quality (or not) digital file and applying to a record.
Honestly, you'd be better off playing a CD or FLAC with volume and putting a record on mute.
At least that way, you know where your money goes.
...but it's not my money.
Randall's Island 98 used to be the main request for a No Code/Yield box set. If it was up to me, the box set would have Yield and No Code reissues on vinyl and CD, Randall's Island on vinyl and CD and the usual trinkets. Maybe another tape of a radio show from the Monkeywrench era.
I'd be down with a vinyl of Moline/Milwaukee for the box set...if it were just of that portion of those shows...but you're probably looking at two vinyls (one Moline, one Milwaukee.)
Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"
I'm HOPING for Blu-ray DVD's of the Moline and Miwaukee shows in the boxset.... instead of vinyl releases!!
I agree. I would much rather have Blu-ray/DVD's of these shows in a box set, and a '96 or '98 show on vinyl. With the amount of pro-shot footage they have from not only these shows, but the whole tour, it wouldn't make sense not to use it.

EXACTLY! I have an older, scratchy version of Vitalogy that i will reach for instead of the re-release because it means i'll have to flip records every 2 to 3 songs. The idea of putting the needle down and occupying myself for 20 minutes is much more enjoyable than coming back to the turntable every 7 minutes. Now, if i had a jukebox to throw a box of sevens in, that would be cool. But not having a jukebox is why i don't own a copy of Sevens. too much work!
imagine the stuff that could go in them between the self pollution radio stuff and monkeywrench radio broadcasts......all the ones from 95 may be too early
Cant wait to see what they pack into it by way of extras.

Kinda hoping those shows aren't included. I would want something that was released during the '96 & '98 eras.
Mike said a while back on the radio that Jeff is working on all these reissues. Gonna be some time till they get completed. It'll be well worth it. Just hoping the live vinyl release that get's included in the No Code / Yield box set is the complete show. What would be a pretty cool bonus collectable is they include a VHS tape that includes a compilation of amazing videos shots from Kevin from their No Code & Yield tours.

Glad you said it. I have zero desire to spin the reissue of Vitalogy. I do love Sevens though. I love playing 45's, reminds me of being a kid.

If Jeff's doing all the work it'll probably be a while, I'd imagine he's pretty tied up with the next RNDM album that should be out soon. Still I think the NC/Y box set will be the most popular one yet, and I can't wait for it.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?
I am still hoping for this to happen. Most importantly (for me) is to get Yield and eventually own Riot Act on vinyl. The two most important PJ records for me. But I would also love No Code.
I agree with most of the posting here about the Vs./Vitalogy box had lack luster extras. The incomplete show being the most annoying haha.
Really wish this would happen in 2016.

They will not re-issue No Code or Yield until I fork over what the originals are currently commanding.....
if I knew how much out of print PJ records are worth on the Epic label I would've bought a lot more copies in the 90s and early 2000s. my local Record Theatre in Buffalo would always have new PJ vinyl for $15-$20. I remember when I got Binaural and how beautiful the artwork is on 2LP gatefold.
I never listen to them and they sit in plastic sleeves amongst the many in my collection...
