The Off Ramp became Graceland, and is now called El Corazon. It is still there although I thought I'd heard that they may be leaving due to rising rent.mcgruff10 said:Did the off ramp burn down? I thought it did but I can't remember.

Caffe Vita (coffee shop) on Capitol Hill. I start and end my Seattle trips there. It may be PJ related as I have heard that JA stops in occasionally.

While in Seattle I cant help stopping at Caffe Ladro a few times a day for an incredible latte and one of the best breakfasts I ever had was at Lola's restaurant in the Hotel Andra.0

Great pics!!
I went to Seattle for the first time late last year and had a blast. Did some PJ stuff like Easy Street…best damn place on earth.
I don't visit the boards much, and didn't share this story with many people, but I got to meet Jeff while I was there. I don't wanna give up the spot, but it was really dumb luck. In fact I was standing next to him for a few minutes talking to the person that worked at the store before I realized who he was. For a few minutes me, Jeff and the clerk was just shooting the shit about music.
Its hard for me to put into words what this band means to me. We are all here for the same reason, so Im sure you can all understand where Im coming from on that. This band is…monumental to me. They were there at the beginning when I needed them the most in 1991 right after my dad died when I was 14, and they have followed me on through my entire life. I love Pearl Jam.
So with that said, I had to say something to Jeff. While we were at the counter I said nothing about who he was and didn't tip my hat to his band at all…we were just two dudes bullshitting. But as he was walking out I said "hey Jeff", he turned and said "Yeah.." "thank you" was all I could get out and thats all I needed to say. He thanked me in return and we both kinda had a moment of mutual respect. He went on with his day, and my trip to Seattle instantly became the best trip I have ever takin in my life.
Ive not wanted to share this story because for the last year or so its been my lil moment… but this trip Marjen took got me thinking back, and I wanted to share.
So again.. thanks to Jeff and this whole band. Forever thanks, and love. And thanks Marjen for bringing this memory back to the surface.0
