Golf until 10:30 is a very strange thing

My wife was none too please. Haha. I loved it though.

Made quite a few wagers, among them was DJ to win at +1300......you think he can keep this up?

one thing i didn't like about Fox coverage was it didn't seem like they showed the players score often enough. a bunch of times they showed a guy's shot without showing his score. it should be up there immediately when a guy comes on. maybe i'm nit picking a bit but it just seemed to me like it happened a few too many times.

it is kind of neat having golf in prime time.

Tiger or Chase Utley - whose game has fallen off more?

i love the train going by like every 20 minutes too. looks like would be a cool place to play if not a pro.

I am not sure I would want to play this course unless I had a couple shots at it. Playing it as a tourist looks like it would be absolutely brutal.

The views and train are awesome though. The course is designed by the same guy who designed the course I played in Hawaii.,

Ha, yeah, my wife was a tad annoyed.

Nice, I didn't put anything down give this course. Don't see why he can't. He played it well yesterday and has played great this year.

Completely agree with the not showing of the scores. It's the little shit like that that Fox seems to be fucking up.

Some incredible views from this course and love the train going by. So strange to see a guy teeing off with a freight train going by about 40 feet away.

He was referring to Eddie's Facebook page.

What exactly is your people's beef with Greg Norman? He's great. Doesn't make up for Buck's condescending smugness, which plays off worse in gold than normal...but I like the Shark

Liked seeing it on the national channel last night too instead of ESPN. Feels like the big event it is.
You could tell Buck and Norman were exhausted at the end of yesterday. They were on for way too long. I don't mind Norman as much as I despise every other person who has said a word on the broadcast.

My beef with Norman? He said the same lines over and over and over. It's like Fox did zero prep work. They've had a golf team together for a year, they rammed Tiger down our throats and said "boy, I don't think he can fix it" 600 times.

Tonight, I imagine, they'll ram Phil down our throats

Should be a great weekend of golf. No Tiger is always a plus.

I'm willing to give Fox the full weekend before forming an opinion. This is their first tourney and it's like the Super Bowl so everything is magnified. I think they would've been better served doing a few smaller ones leading up to this weekend. Let's see if they can iron out the kinks....(although nothing can fix Buck)

Yeah, I'm very surprised they didn't get the rights to some smaller tournaments leading up to this. The U.S. Open as your first tournament to cover is pretty damn tough.

I think the main thing is that we don't know any of these analysts/announcers. So used to the guys on CBS/NBC. But honestly none of these analysts/announcers are doing much for me so far.

There was also a lot of talk about them revolutionizing the golf telecast...don't see too much of that so far.

Is it too much to ask for the announcers to know the players score or what stroke they are on on a given hole?

The best part was when Curt Menefee was talking about Phil's post game press conference or something along those lines.

    Scary stuff.

I like Day a lot. Want an American to win this weekend, but I would like to see Day do well. Like his game.

    agreed.

also agree, buck and shark were on way too long....it would have been way to long even if they were good.

and....holly sonders?? maybe this is what FOX meant by revolutionizing the coverage
