I hear ya'. The Cubs are doing ok this year, but the fn games are never on here. Ugh!
I always get pumped up over the summer for football, then the season starts and I realize the Bears always disappoint.

The more I think about it, the more this makes sense. Saad is a very good player and only 22 years old, but he was apparently looking for a deal with a $6.5M cap hit??? Kane and Toews weren't even making that much last year.

I'd say that Bowman has earned the benefit of the doubt at this point. You know there's no way he would have traded him unless he absolutely had to and it sounds like that was the case here.

From what I've collected, it sounds like Saad himself was only seeking $4M per, but his agent went fishing around to see if he could get upwards of $6.5M. And since we can't seem to find homes for Sharp or Bickell, something had to be done. Anisimov gives us a big body center on the 2nd line and Dano has good potential. If we end up having to keep one or both of Sharp and Bickell, just have to hope their production heads back up next season. I have more faith in Sharp as he's only one year removed as leading scorer on the team. Bickell really hasn't done much, ever, except for the 2013 playoffs. Next key is to re-sign Kruger.

Yeah, it definitely sounds like Saad was shocked by the trade. It really sucks, but they didn't have much of a choice. And they got a couple of guys with Anisimov and Dano that will contribute right away. I'm guessing either Sharp or Bickell will get moved still (hopefully it's Bickell).

Vermette and Richards are gone. This hard cap really sucks!

Rumor is the tuxedo birds are looking into Sharp. Doubt it'll happen because they have nothing to give us in return. No 1st round picks, earliest pick is #46, and no picks until 5th round after that. If we send them Sharp, we better get someone in return who can replace him on offense like Hornqvist or (preferably) Letang to beef up the blue line.

On a sad note Patrick Kane is being investigated in a sexual assault case. Let's hope the woman is ok and that PK is not involved in any way.

I'll hold my judgement on the whole Kane situation until the facts come out or he actually gets charged. It's unfortunate that there is always this immediate rush to judgement on both sides. People already calling Kane a rapist and others saying this girl made it up. No one knows shit right now.

I'll wait til we have the facts and/or he is charged. As a Florida State fan also, I'm all too familiar with how the media circus & court of public opinion are with these things.
I hope the woman is okay and that PK didn't cause anyone any harm, but I won't rush to judgment.

Yep. Unfortunately in today's society, everyone is in a rush to label someone a rapist or say the woman is full of shit.
