Rough game yesterday. Awful baserunning. And then the 9th inning shitshow.

Oh well, still a good time with my little girl.

Awesome! Yes, Fenway is great with the kids. But man, they need to start hitting!

Fenway is great with the kids.

It's OK with other dads from the Pearl Jam forum, too.

Just OK? Now I'm offended. Guess I need to paint a big blue B ony shirtless chest and pass around the blow up doll, like the old days huh? Ha! Only kidding, yea that was a good time except for the L. Oh well, the good thing about the basement is there's nowhere else but up. And it's only 5 1/2 stories deep at this point. It's not like it's 14 deep or something.

Hmmmm....Buster Olney says you need to follow the GIANTS model....you know, think of a "team" concept:

The other day in the Giants' clubhouse, Matt Duffy was asked about his promotion as the team's everyday third baseman, and he explained that he had learned about the demotion of previous starter Casey McGehee from McGehee himself. The veteran pulled Duffy aside and told him he was being taken off the roster, and McGehee explained that he had a similar experience earlier in his career in Milwaukee, where he had replaced Bill Hall. For too long, McGehee said, he felt badly about supplanting Hall, and McGehee wanted to make sure Duffy wasn't beset with the same sort of emotion.

McGehee is back in the big leagues with the Giants, but Duffy remains the starting third baseman, counseled in his work by McGehee, in keeping with the team's traditional devotion to winning games. Barry Zito, the team's highest-paid player in 2010, was taken off the roster and didn't complain; rather, he supported his teammates. Last year, Sergio Romo was dropped from the closer's role and handled it with grace before re-signing with the Giants this offseason as a free agent. Last fall, Tim Lincecum, a two-time Cy Young Award winner, was moved to the back of the San Francisco bullpen and didn't utter a peep of discontent because he understood the decision was based on performance and on what gave the Giants the best chance to win.

The Red Sox must try to get to this place, again, as they seemed to be in 2013.

Let's keep this train rolling, boys. Bad time for a day off yesterday. Hopefully, they can maintain their momentum.

I'm basically living at Fenway this week. Was at Sunday's rollercoaster game, will be at tomorrow night's game (provided the predicted p.m. thunderstorms clear out) vs. the Marlins and Friday night's game vs. the Shitheads.
