Speedy, don't try to reason with the coffee snobs in this discussion. Appearantly our fine tuned palette and unquestionable good taste is beyond their comprehension. The complexity of the Instant coffee is its simplicity!SPEEDY MCCREADY said:

And yes it's totally unrelated, but since Hedo already has ordered her exciting new Mr.Coffee,I thought I would add to the vintage 70s commercials that get stuck in your head and add this one.(If you remember watching it during sat morning cartoons, your old)

Oh, I'm percolating, Jerry. I'm telling you, I have never felt so fertile. I'm mossy, Jerry. My brain is mossy.0

I went Kuerig in 2009 and never looked back at my graveyard of Mr. Coffees. It's so great to have a fresh cup of coffee every time. I got the reusable coffee filter to use my own blend. I'm honestly shocked by how long my Keurig is lasting because it used to be a yearly purchase to use Mr. Coffees. Just make sure you wash the Keurig well if you make hot chocolate or anything that could clog things up. Vinegar mixture to clean it once a month keeps things moving too.Post edited by Kat onFalling down,...not staying down0

I've got a feeling we shall be purchasing a Keurig in about a year from now0

Does the Keurig HAVE to be hooked up to a water line or do they make them with water reservoirs?NYC 06/24/08-Auckland 11/27/09-Chch 11/29/09-Newark 05/18/10-Atlanta 09/22/12-Chicago 07/19/13-Brooklyn 10/18/13 & 10/19/13-Hartford 10/25/13-Baltimore 10/27/13-Auckland 1/17/14-GC 1/19/14-Melbourne 1/24/14-Sydney 1/26/14-Amsterdam 6/16/14 & 6/17/14-Milan 6/20/14-Berlin 6/26/14-Leeds 7/8/14-Milton Keynes 7/11/14-St. Louis 10/3/14-NYC 9/26/15

No water line necessary. It has a nice reservoir. This one is like mine and you can get the reusable filter. http://www.amazon.com/Keurig-Elite-Brewing-System-Black/dp/B00AQ9NIO0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1433871878&sr=8-1&keywords=kuerigFalling down,...not staying down0

See this kind of thing I understand. Especially with the fill your own pods set up. If I was a one cup and done kinda girl I'd probably be into this. But only if I can use my regular Bustelo and my fresh ground beans from the coffee place.Kat said:No water line necessary. It has a nice reservoir. I'll admit it and call myself a coffee snob, but there is a place for all the levels of coffee out there. I French and Aero Press whenever I can as it's the best, but I also use those Starbuck "Mia" or "Via" or whatever the heck their called instant coffee packs on backpacking trips. They weigh next to nothing and it takes up practically no space in my pack. Mix into hot water and it's a decent cup of coffee without all the equipment.0

We used those Starbucks things awhile back too - was good coffee but too dainty in the individual packaging, if that makes sense. I can see traveling with them - and definitely beats Folgersmca47 said:I'll admit it and call myself a coffee snob, but there is a place for all the levels of coffee out there. Jason - what is that from? I feel I should know it.

Druish princess
I'm curious to see the variation with the filter change; seems like a small investment if it'll enhance the taste.
Gern, I've heard Cuisinart is reliable but who the hell goes through twelve cups of coffee?!

Very similar to the one I have at home and at the office. Only mine at home makes 14 cups.Gern Blansten said:
We definitely go through 12 cups at the office, usually twice a day. At home, my prince and I only make half a pot in the morning but often make a full pot when we have company.
