The market is flooded with reissues of those albums as well. Not everyone is hardcore about first pressings, so when you can satisfy a lot of customers with a reissue, the demand for original pressings goes down.
Quick question here regarding PJ vinyl. Why are the first pressings of Vs. and Vitology worth so much less than everything else in their catalog? Were they large pressings?
Yes... vinyl was still a viable product and pressed in mass until the late 90's... that's why most vinyl issued between roughly 98-08 is hard to find... they just simply pressed less because the vinyl demand collapsed
But also, it's because they have been reissued. A reissue always brings down the price of the originals.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata
