rr, I grew up with Blondie (was actually nick-named that in junior high!). Debbie's is yet another badass voice I wish I had.
As to sushi, I WISH. I hit it up during the week since my guy isn't into it. Thinking we'll order in some kind of comfort food this evening, maybe on-demand American Sniper. Curious to see it after all of the input and related hoopla.
Was that drink good?
(and hello, Last-12! Looks like they were having a blast)0 -
That is cool bride! Imuskydan said:I am so stoked. I have a wedding tonight and the biggest Blackhawks game of the year is on...Game fuckin 7 to go for the Cup for cry eye!! Think if I was getting married during a sporting season I love.. Like say I got married during the NBA Finals, or a big UFC fight, I would be broadcasting that shit too!0 -
Hedo, that is a great movie.Coop is bad ass and a great actor.Hope you enjoy.
Imitation game is also very good.
Going to catch a brunchish type breakfast and then heading to the Movies ourselves today.San Andreas looks wicked.Must see for the rr family.I will report back if fine folks in Cali have anything to worry about.lol0 -
So there you go.A Blackhawks win.Congrats, enjoy it.muskydan said:I am so stoked. You see now you have to deal with The boys from the south. It was a nice run for you guys but the Lightning about to roll your Hawks. Now it's true the Panthers are my #1 hockey team. But we don't usually play this time of year(soon we will). So I go to my 2nd favorite team ,since they are city brothers with my beloved Tampa Bay Bucs.I say Tampa in 6. What says you Dan-o?

Holy shit!!! Talk about a team getting rolled? I was so happy the most complete hockey player in the game Jonathan Toews stuck it to that Eternal loser Kessler and all time greatest game 07 choke artist Ducks. It must kill Kessler that Toews put 2 in on him in the first period the way he did. Anyhow, my beloved Hawks really turned it on last night and now it's time to solidify their legitimate dynasty by winning their 3rd cup in 6 years....rr165892 said:

So to make this interesting rr a wager might be in order...say the winner gets from the loser a Mix CD of their favorite Live PJ songs.... I don't have a ton of boots, but have enough to create a mind blowing set....not that I would have to of course...lol. Whatcha think???0 -
Well-done film (as usual when it comes to Clint) and Cooper's eyes spoke volumes, but the way it ended seemed so...abrupt. Perhaps a reflection of how his life ended?rr165892 said:Hedo, that is a great movie.Coop is bad ass and a great actor.Hope you enjoy.

Also want to see San Andreas - plus I just love Dwayne Johnson! He seems like an absolutely stand-up guy.

Ok,California is fucked.Move now!!!! Well at least LA,Bakersfield and Espescially San Fran(super fucked)Or hope that the rock is still pulling double duty with LAFD.
Typical disaster movie.Fun and cool special effects. No one is winning an academy award here.Similar story line to the beginning of 2012.
Carla Gugino looked stunning as always.0 -

I wish I had that kind of Whack to make that happen. Turns out I will still be in Yellowstone on my Furlo for that show. I am a bit bummed, but I will be camping and flyfishing in one of the most beautiful places in the world for a couple of weeks. I will not be missing Ac/Dc thou.... I cannot wait for that one at the Friendly confines . Go Go Blackhawks!!!!rr165892 said:

Ha ha! It's always smooth sailing here in The Lounge Car!
And rr, I my wife and I spent the afternoon in San Francisco yesterday and it was a perfect day in the city by the bay! We walked all over Golden Gate Park on a do-it-yourself flower walk and the flowers everywhere were outrageous! Plus saw a guy near the music concourse (how appropriate) who looked a lot like Stone. So, no worries, S.F. is far from fucked!"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -
I haven't been to San Francisco in I don't know how many years. I'm convinced that city has the best restaurants in the country. Was there on a business trip and my boss and I went to this tiny place, sat at the bar. Shared a carpaccio that I still remember and perhaps continue to drool over. Simple shit too - almost sheer slices of beef, liberal (oh the irony
) on the pepper, drizzle of olive oil and shaved parm.
With double scotches, neat!
Great music, guys. And rr, congrats on the CC tickets! Just read of another friend here who scored some.0 -
The Earthquake experts couldn't agree with you more Bri.Cali is not falling into the ocean anytime soon. But that dosent sell movie tickets now does it?brianlux said:Ha ha! It's always smooth sailing here in The Lounge Car!

Now what's scary is your drought which is sinking your state (8' in some areas) due to use of the deep ground water supply via well drilling in the Central Valley.Time to re explore salt water conversion.0 -
I was told the food was the best in SF prior to my visit.Although I had some enjoyable meals, none blew me away with the exception of a Margharita pizza from Tony's in North Beach.I felt terribly let down as I was expecting to be wowed!Maybe I just picked the wrong places.hedonist said:I haven't been to San Francisco in I don't know how many years. Contemplating coming up for the Beacon Show.My oldest may be moving to the City in Sept(Right by the Highline near the Beirgarten ).So I'm thinking about trying for a set today.See what happens, how lucky I get in seat choice. If they rock I may have to pull the trigger.badbrains said:

Second, last time in SF, we had one of the best meals ever at a place we just happened upon. A fancy-shmancy twist on meat and potatoes but my GOD it was amazing. The architecture of the restaurant as well.
It was a trip with my sister and her husband, pulled out all the stops on the luxury side - Four Seasons hotel, shopping, etc. So we asked the concierge to recommend an authentic, non-touristy Chinese restaurant. She directed us to a place where the food was terrible, service arrogant, fellow diners boorish.
We still laugh about it.0
