Like a lot of people from these boards I bought the 4lp US reissue a couple of years ago and was not overly impressed by the sound quality. Im no expert, I just know it sounded a bit too distorted for my liking. From what I've read the US pressing was pressed too loud and very close to the centre of the record which caused this. Anyway the good news is that it seems to have been repressed this year and this problem fixed. I decided to order a new copy and take a hit on the extra expense. Just thought I would let you guys know as I stumbled upon this info and of course there was no official word from the label or anything.

Anyone else ever have problems with this set?

So that was the good news. Bad news was that Amazon sent it to me from the US to the UK in nothing more than a plastic bag, you can imagine how this great looking set looked when it arrived

    Mine sounded ok for the most part, although I do remember something weird during Zero. It's been awhile though, i'll have to spin it again. And yes, amazon is pretty bad at shipping vinyl. A plastic bag? Wow. Yep, I don't think i'll buy vinyl from amazon again, especially after reading that.

    You should see the way they handle/store it. It's no surprise half the stuff I buy from Amazon is damaged.

    The only issue I had with the reissue was "Zero" Other than that, I thought it to be a solid release that was beautifully packaged.
