It's very quick, easy and painless to donate money to this very urgent need in Nepal.
You can go to paypal.com, click on the blue "Donate Now" button and you'll have four choices of charities to donate to.
Any amount you can spare is helpful and desperately needed now.
    Thank you very, very much.

Started a service project today with my 8th grade class for Nepal. We'll see what happens.

That is fantastic mcgruff10 - good work!
I presume your students are around 14 years old? That's a great age to learn that there are sometimes more important things in life than one's own wants and desires.
Please relay to your students that the Pearl Jam family is very grateful and proud of them!
And keep us updated on their efforts, would you please?

Yeah they are all 13 and 14. I broke 110 students into teams of two; they have to create a project to help the survivors. They then present. After we ll vote on the best idea and hopefully put it in action.

Sorry to send you to bed with this sad report but current figures are 6,134 dead in Nepal and 14,000 more are injured.
Maybe tonight you will dream of something that you can do tomorrow to help.

In the effort to keep these URGENT Nepal Earthquake Relief posts at the top of the list, I'm attempting to be more creative than just typing the word "bump".
    Please picture this:
Recent estimates are that more than 14,000 Nepalese, Indian and Chinese people have been injured by last Saturday's devastating 7.8 earthquake in that region.
I'm going to list several concert venues where Pearl Jam have recently played - each venue with seating capacities of approximately 14,000 people.
    Spokane Arena: 12,638 people
Key Arena, Seattle: just under 15,000 people
Giant Center, Hershey, PA: 12,500 people
i Wireless Center, Moline, PA: 12,000
First Direct Arena, Leeds UK: 13,000 people
Perhaps this will help people to visualize the enormity of this disaster and the immediate need for your assistance to ease the suffering.
    Thank you.

Bump to the top. Thank you for this reminder to donate - sometimes in the daily shuffle it is hard to realize just how real this tragedy is elsewhere in the world, and how important it is to take a moment and offer any help you can.

Please donate people! Trust me, you'll feel a little less guilty about all the other business of vinyl records, concerts, wants and desires, etc after you've given to a worthy cause.

Apologies for standing on the soapbox here for a moment - but please consider giving!
