They yanked, they pulled , they tugged, they grinded, they drilled, they made me absolutely miserable.
I was in pain
I am still in pain
They ruined my entire fucking day.

But I am still having a better day, than all those people on The Porch!
Take me piece by piece.....

HAHA, I had to go look and see what was going on on The Porch...yeah I've got a raging headache and am at work and I'm still having a better day than them...lol

I need to go to the dentist soon...time for a check up and cleaning...I also need to go to the eye doctor...I think the eye doctor should come first because that's part of my headaches I think...my damn glasses...

All over a Backspacer vinyl and a vinyl of Jeff's band, wearing orange masks.
    It is comical.

Next time I see mystery box sale, I'm going to schedule a root canal for the same time. That was painful. Going to avoid the Porch today and stay entertained by you clowns on AET.

What would 10c be without thousands of posts bitching that 10C hates them and god spit in their face as they missed something here. I was watching the mystery box vinyl sale thread posts grow standing in line at RSD laughing. Doing the holy shit there were 5 more pages added in the last 15 minutes. Many blood pressure doctors will be seeing new patients tomorrow.

Have you ever had work done on your front teeth?
I have cavities in my front teeth and getting them filled makes me cry. Last time the dentist said they're gonna have to be replaced because they've been filled too much or too many times or something. I'm fucking terrified of going back to the dentist now. I've never had root canal or caps or anything and I don't have dental insurance so they're not gonna do me any favors. I have no idea what they might try to pressure me into doing, and I'm extremely ignorant of dental procedures

Find a new dentist is what you need to do. My wife was so scared of the dentist for the same reason. She found a new guy she trusts who has a philosophy that dentistry shouldn't hurt and moves as slow as she needs them to. Yes sometimes it does still hurt but he tries so hard to make her comfortable and doesn't push the upsale on us. He understood she didn't go to a dentist for a few years and if he pisses her off she will stop seeing him so he tries a little harder.

I haven't had front teeth done but I had a cavity filled from inside my gums. They actually drilled into the gums and filled up rather than down. That hurt like nothing else.

2 years ago the yanked out my front tooth....grinded down the teeth next to the one they pulled....And I ended up with a bridge...I would have preferred a single implant....but they couldn't do that....

    It was a great time!!

The sad thing was he told me it may not take and sure as shit less than a year later it had to be pulled and replaced. It was a last ditch effort to save the tooth. I had to rinse 5 times a day with this horrible mouth was to keep it from getting infected. What a waste.

I have not had perfect teeth, but have been able to get fillings. It is my daughter whose teeth are affected by the in utero drug use of the birth mother that has given her fillings and, at the age of 4, a root canal. (If we pulled the tooth, many teeth would have shifted and bad things would happen.)

We have her in the great land of orthodontia now. Her mouth is too small for all of the teeth she has. She's in 5th grade and she hasn't lost a tooth since 2nd grade. She lost teeth for a quick 6 month period in 2nd grade and that was it. All of her teeth were so cramped that we had to take her last month to have 6 baby teeth pulled. She went in on her own, they numbed her up (and she didn't even flinch for the shots), pulled all 6 (with one nearly impacted) AND the kid went to school the next day. (She has perfect attendance this year so far.)

Her problems that need to be resolved with braces? Almost exactly what I dealt with. Funny that there is nothing biological there!

Thankfully, we have an awesome dentist. He knows the drug history that she was exposed to. He keeps an eye on any little tiny change. He presents things to me as, "If this were my kid." She trusts him and we trust him. Whatever he says goes and we don't doubt his judgment in the least. We drive 25 miles one way to see him. After the baby root canal, he gave me his personal cell number to use in case we have any issues.

Most dentists around here silver cap the root canal teeth. He does not. He doesn't believe in them. He said he has only had to use them once or twice in his history of dentistry and believes that they are overused just to bilk people out of more money.

If he can fill something, he will. My husband went to the dentist after a 15 year break. He had a cavity in a wisdom tooth. Dr. Rick filled it. The wisdom tooth doesn't need pulled and has never needed pulled. (My husband, lucky dog!) Any other dentist would have pulled it and caused a lot of crappy issues.

I'm glad you have a good dentist that you trust and that has done great work for your family. I don't agree that "any other dentist would have pulled (the wisdom tooth) and caused a lot of crappy issues". Sure, some dentists might have but Dr. Rick isn't the only good one - my dentist is great, and so is my next door neighbour, a dental specialist (prosthodontist). They don't all pull teeth that don't need to be pulled. And believe me, not getting wisdom teeth pulled when they need to be can cause a whole lot of problems - I had to delay getting one of mine pulled when I lived overseas in an area without good dentistry, and the abscess that developed was no picnic!

I had to have all four of mine pulled. It was not a pleasant experience, complete Murphy's law. And it cost a small fortune.

I agree. I shouldn't have said all. (Busted. I try not to do that.) Sorry about that.

I ended up with a dry socket after my wisdom teeth were pulled. I had an infection beforehand and had to take antibiotics. Infection on right. Ended up with the dry socket on the left. Hurt something awful. After 18 years, I still have a bit of a hole back there where it was packed with the clove gauze. It also didn't help that I was taking glass blowing at the time and couldn't puff out my cheeks to blow glass. Had to be assigned a casting project!

Why does this read like one of those math word problems from 8th grade? My answer is 13, no six!
