I've never attended a Pearl Jam show that I would describe as "bad", but I get where people are coming from with the St Louis criticism. For us it had to do with travel problems (flew Boston to Chicago that morning, connecting flight cancelled, had to drive from Chicago to St Louis), chaos entering the building (those lines were the worst I have ever seen) and an opening set that was just OK, not great. But I loved Imagine and got my white whale Footsteps in the encore. So even though it was not as good as some other shows I have seen it will always hold a special place in my memory.

Moline. They didn't play a 40 song set. Just kidding. Playing No Code was better than any 40 song set!

When I was 19 I bought tickets to Tab Gormley stadium in 1995 in new orleans. I DROVE from NJ to New Orleans, 22 hours straight, stayed in the french quarter and then the show was canceled. Could not make it down again for the make up show, BUT IVE STILL GOT MY AMAZING TICKET STUB, so ive got that going for me, which is nice.

But Pearl Jam got me to what is now my favorite city on earth to visit, New Orleans!

    Heart attack guy, YOU WIN!

One time in Hartford, I was lightheaded and passed out, and all my friends new to leave me there in my seat til the show was over no matter what. lol. Dont worry, your not alone, we are all crazy!

OH MAN, I remember how devastated I was when they cancelled the show. I made the make up. sucks to hear about that but that ticket stub with the beetle/hookah is pretty cool.

Well i traveled by plane to Missoula, and got the flu basically while I was in the air heading there. So that sucked. Still went to the show of course, and it was really great (though that probably would have been longer had Eddie not been sick himself)... but it and the whole trip would have been much better if I hadn't felt so horrible the whole time!

And then the next show was Wrigley, which was even farther away, and, well.... it was amazing, but we all know it would have been even better without that storm delay, even if it did make it an incredibly memorable and unusual scene, being a show in the dead of night at Wrigley field. Which was pretty amazing. But also, the heat. My god, the heat! I'm really not good in that kind of weather.

BUT I regret nothing!! The hardships were still well worth it. :)

Shall we just call you Edith?
    Who's Edith?
So your "I regret nothing" (je ne regrette rien) was just a fluke? Whoops.
I guess so - I have no idea what you're talking about!

opening night of 06 in toronto was a weird night. crowd and show out of sync. eddie even mentioned the next night it felt like a first night as if the night before didn't count. also vote for change in toledo. to me that night eddie didn't seem his usual self. left the stage for neil and the boys for an hour. not so terrible at all. but most shows to me are all good . some are just exceptionally better.

My least favo of 38 pj shows
    Arras France,2010..
the perrformance was excellent ,but a short list of 18 songs,at a small town in the middle ofnowhere,at the masin square during rain and lame crowd..after the festival sold ticket, and a month before date they add vip tickets in front of stage.. and they sold them to people of 60 years old and "high society"..there was people with suits in front of stage..and well dressed woman like ready to meet the president of france..and real fans of the band was behind that area..
and a HUGE pain in the ass to go to Belgium the next day from that city..needed to travel and change 3 different trains with waiting at stations..

Hardships of travelling all over Europe?! H

Don't understand the posts about the most recent St.Louis show. The crowd was really into it and so were the band. My 7th hometown show and stellar as usual.

Agreed. I really liked the set. Thin Air, Pilate, Chloe/Crown, trilogy,...
Imagine played for the very first time in the US in St.Louis. A flawless performance too.

having only seen them 5 times, I can't say I've had anything but stellar experiences. Gimli 93, Fargo 03, Winnipeg 05 and 11 (and Ed solo a few months prior in Minnie), and St Paul 14 (sandwiched in between No Code and Yield!). I hope I never get to the point of seeing them so much that seeing them might end up in disappointment.

One did come to mind... The ED show in Milwaukee back in 2008. Don't get me wrong it was a great show and I had a blast but the fans were DICKS! Some guy screaming Lukin between every song, super drunk idiots passing out, and Ed himself pleaded with the crowd to please quite down. It was embarrassing.

vancouver 2011 didn't seem great at the time and the venue was a concrete bowl..

After PJ20 I told myself I had to see them again. So went to Vancouver. As Eddie likes to say 2nd to last show is always best one, not last show. That said, I saw a high school buddy which made the trip worthwhile. I was hoping for another Vancouver 2005 type crowd and show, but 2011 was even a different venue. Crowd wasn't totally into it too, as evidenced by Eddie going off on Ole.

For one reason or another, the band was visibly nervous and/or anxious during that 1st Toronto show. You could feel and see them being more at ease the following night.

I will agree that it's hard to see shows int the coliseum when GM Place is so much better. I have crazy awesome memories of the 1998 show they played at the coliseum, but after 20 years of GM Place being around, it's tough watching a show in that venue. GM Place was definitely designed with acoustics in mind.

I didn't think the 2011 was that bad. I actually thought the crowd was energetic, but I was over 20 rows back. I assumed the Ole stuff was directed at people in the first few rows as the rest of the venue seemed to be rocking out. The major downside I thought was that due to no Seattle show on that tour, all the Seattlites came north, so my fan club tickets were the worse I've ever had to a Vancouver show. Still not the worst show I've seen. They played pretty late (well past curfew) and for a 2011 show, it was pretty long, good setlist and decent crowd.

I suppose it's still hard to compare to the '98, '03, '05, and '13 crowds (I missed '09 but I heard it was killer too). So I guess maybe it wasn't PJ's best Vancouver show.. lol.

Cincy '14 was my 12th show and its probably a top 3 show for me. They had a few technical issues, but it was 3hrs and 10 minutes long, that 1st encore was sublime, I can still see Eddie and Stone laughing and drinking on the side of the stage as Mike finishes out Ledbetter, and that different version of LBC (never a favorite) was really, really cool. Alot of good memories of that show.

4th furthest I have traveled to a show was Lolla 07. It was my first real music festival and I expected them to play over curfew... That was disappointing when they didn't, but really I shouldn't have expected them to play over curfew at a festival. The show was great, and we have a great spot, so really it wasn't really that disappointing, but that would be most disappointing out of the ones I have flown to.
