I didn't even put any thought into it. It was just the first thing that came to mind while I was registering to 10C, and never considered that it would become a username that people would actually come to know my by. I wish I'd realized and picked something better (although I supposed it gets my point across)!

That had something to do with it also. There are a few things going on here, but the poker tournament name was the easiest. When I joined, Last Exit was in heavy rotation in my cd player. Plus, I'm a volunteer fireman and first one in and last one out is a motto in the fire service. Add that to the poker tournament name, and you have the makings of a club name.

    And SOLAT24 was not available.

I've used this name in a few online places over the years. Darth is a nod to Star Wars, I've loved those movies most of my life, seeing Empire in the theatre at 6 showed me what movies can be. Maeglin is from Tolkien (the Silmarillion specifically), my favourite author of all time (from the pre-Jackson days, lol). It "means" "sharp glance," as I've been known to come to quick insights about things (damn that sounds smug as I write it, lol).
Essentially, when I don't use my birth name, this has become my fallback "identity," lol.
