I called my sister to check on my niece. Hey, it's not our thing, but I would NEVER dismiss her love for 1D. In fact, I encouraged it. She's 17. I'm happy she has music in her life and she's passionate about it.
I too loved the young idols when I was a teenager.
My taste changed over time. The Who are my fav ever and PJ is right there with them.
I can only hope that my niece continues to keep music in her soul, whatever that music may be.
