I like outside shows. The gorge, memorial stadium in Seattle, even the poorly designed olympic park in Calgary. There's something about an outdoor show on a nice sunny day.
I've only seen PJ do a really small venue once (Commodore - Vancouver 2000). It was cool show but far from the best I've ever seen them do. I like having lots of people adding to the energy.0 -
Large Outdoor Venue (Gorge, Music Festival type)
Alpine Valley. Enough said. Rain, Freezing Cold, Super Hot... it doesn't matter. As a Pearl Jam fan we've done them all and they rocked!Vedd Hedd said:I either want something like Alpine Valley, or some tiny, greasy music hall.
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.0 -

Indoor StadiumVoted indoor stadium cause that is mostly where I have seen them. Would love a small theater show, but I think that is mainly for Ed solo shows.PJ: 10/14/00 06/09/03 10/4/09 11/15/13 11/16/13 10/08/14

Indoor StadiumMsg, spectrum, air canada center, xl center....love those indoor arenas. I feel a lot of the crowd noise is lost in the outdoor venues.I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

Madison Square Garden in the city that never sleeps. Those Borgata shows in Atlantic City were epic as well. All the rusted signs we ignore throughout our lives,.....choosing the shiny ones instead,......0

I really like outdoor, Randall's island was great, the bus trips were a trip, Barrie was amazing (pearl jam tickets wit a free metrocard!)...I'd also vote amphitheater as a second.
While small shows are fantastic id trade all the elitist nonsense in for 3 hours if actual music with 20000 other people.
I think I've been around too long to care about the drama with the lines and the seniority and merchandise.... Just give me the music any old place
Oh and the fucking cell phones, seriously people
peace and love

Although someday I'd like to see them in one of those Piazza shows in a small Italian city. Wish I could go back in time and experience Pistoia 2006.0 -

Smaller indoor venue (2500-3000)I'm hoping that one day they'll end up playing the Fillmore in San Francisco. To see them play there would be epic in my book! I could easily see them pulling off a five night run there (or longer) at some point in their career.0

Yes, Leeds arena was built for music. Holds over 10,000 but the way it's laid out means everyone feels close to the stage.BrainofBGA said:Sounds like the Leeds indoor arena was a great indoor venue last year!? Can anyone confirm this? Size? Atmosphere?
Also there isn't much gap between the stage and the crowd so you feel really close if you're upfront.
Best arena I've even too. That said, there's something magical about PJ outdoors for me!'F*** the pessimists. F*** 'em.' Eddie Vedder0 -
