Had a Sergio Romo sighting today as I drove past the Giants training facility. I will try and get over there during lunch in the next couple of days to see if I can get some pics to share of the team working out. I always love this part of spring training before the games start as you can get a lot closer to the players. The Diamondbacks/Rockies did great with their facility in that you can watch them workout in the walkways right behind all the fields and batting cages. The players pass right by you going from one field to another giving you a chance to say hello if you want. I met Charlie Manual a few seasons ago. He actually stopped and talked with me for a quick minute.

Giants are also offering now a 2 for $28 ticket package for select games. Wish I could get out there, Pac Bell it will always be to me. I know its AT&T park but I moved away when it was still Pac Bell. Standing along the brick wall waiting to see a Bonds homer fly over you for those few seasons was magical.

The things he has accomplished in his so-far short career are simply incredible. Three time WS champion, ROY, MVP, Comeback Player of the Year, a batting title, a Hank Aaron award, 2-time AS, 2-time Silver Slugger. And now apparently the Face of MLB. Dude's a fucking beast.

Christ, I remember a game when he was at FSU where he played every position, hit a grand slam, and struck out the side in an inning of relief. That's some Bo Jackson shit right there!

Oh, and in the collegiate off-season, he won two straight championships in the Cape Cod League. He's been killing it his entire career, amateur and pro!

1 more day and the season officially starts. So here are a few questions for the fellow Giants lovers along with my guesses:

What is Cain's ERA this season?
He says he feels great again after the time off so I will put it at 3.2

Everyone has been waiting for Belt to really break out and be the Belt that destroyed AAA pitching. How many homers does he have in 2015?
I think he is who he is now but will show a little more power and will get to 23 homers.

Lastly, who ends the season as the 5th starter?
I cant see Lincecum holding onto that spot, nor do I see Vogeslong making it the whole year on the team. I think it will be Crick after he gets a late call up in September and does well.

If there's a good thing about it, at least it was very early in spring training. Hopefully he'll only miss the first 2-3 weeks of the regular season. Sucks though, I love Pence!

His 2 year streak of playing all 162 is broken. He will be back quick I'm sure. I am worried this will be a nagging thing the rest of the season. Thank god its an odd year anyways.

^^^^^^^ If he is still here tell him to go to the minor league facility. Its on the corner of Hayden and Camelback about 2 miles from the stadium. There is a public park that runs behind the fields that you can stand and watch from.

Damn Strickland. Gave up a homer in his first outing. So much for him being better this season with the long ball.

Thanks, I'll pass along the info. We were driving to the Bay Area so we got to listen to the game where Strickland gave up the home run. My husband was in the middle of telling me how great Strickland is and then - it's out of here!
