Ok folks, I am going to be in Brooklyn the weekend on March 28th for a friends art show and Sunday night (the 29th) I was thinking of hitting up some live music. Does anyone have any suggestion? Google can only tell me so much...

any advice would be helpful.

Music Hall of Williamsburg is probably the biggest non-arena one. http://www.musichallofwilliamsburg.com/

Other smaller ones include Warsaw, which is in Williamsburg.

Also look up the website brooklynvegan.com. http://www.brooklynvegan.com/ They have a daily list of concerts and venues.

Barclays Center is the big arena there. The biggest smaller one, as xaviar said, is definitely Music Hall of Williamsburg. And SO many small ones. Warsaw, as mentioned, along with Rough Trade, Glasslands, Cameo Gallery, Littlefield, Baby's All Right, Saint Vitus, Pete's Candy, Store, The Bell House...

Enjoy! And Mahattan is only a Subway ride away, so lots to check out there as well!

Actually, I see The Districts are playing Rough Trade on the 28th. Check their music out and see if that would be up your alley. I'm very much enjoying their latest album!

Where in Brooklyn? But honestly, doesn't really matter because the subway runs 24 hours!

Come a day early and you can see Patti Smith and her daughter at Le Poisson Rouge. It's in the village (Manhattan): http://lepoissonrouge.com/lpr_events/honzo-haven-march-27th-2015/

I also love Rockwood on the Lower East Side (Manhattan). http://www.rockwoodmusichall.com

In Brooklyn, Kings Theatre recently opened, they have some awesome shows coming up. http://www.kingstheatre.com/mobile

I also really like Rough Trade. Plus it's also a record store with a cafe and for some inexplicable reason, ping pong tables.

Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.
