Question: if you don't want it dry mounted what do you ask for? I found a "mom and pop" frame shop that I'm going to take my least valuable poster to for a test run. I definitely don't want them to be dry mounted but I don't know what to ask for in lieu of that.

You can specifically say you DON'T want it drymounted and instead want conservation methods using acid-free materials including all mats, backing boards, linen tape and/or photo corners. Hopefully they're pretty experienced with that. I'd also recommend some type of conservation glass, which will offer UV damage reduction, and there are a few choices that range in price from the regular UV-protected or anti-glare glass to the very expensive museum glass.

I have way to many posters & not enough wall space. I do suggest that if you have the same problem that you get multiple posters that exchangeable in to the frame so you can swap over

    Here's a few newly framed.

I tried to match the mats and frame of the Bridge School poster to go along side of this one.

The biggest mat is a grey mat with a lot of navy in it. Hard to capture it well here.

Where I go, they have to check mark the option for matting, backing boards, and such. I go with a basic frame and regular UV protected glass for my posters.

I don't mean to be an a**hole, but not every PJ poster is a Picasso.....I spend minimal amounts to frame my posters because I never plan on selling or un-matting them and all are displayed in our basement and get no direct light.

I don't have that kind of space. I'm definitely going for the uv glass cuz I get a lot of sun in here. And I'm not comfortable committing to keeping them framed that way forever. Maybe I'll sell one or maybe I'll just want a new frame job with a different color mat, or no mat, who knows. Either way I want the option.
I still haven't gone to the frame store. I'm gonna wait till spring.

Very nice! How did you frame the records? Is the mat on top of the record? I have a signed ITW that I want to display but haven't figured out how.
