This is incredibly telling. Go back to Hard Copy, Bill.

If just more people weren't lazy about the news they watch and think is real, we wouldn't have to remind O'Reilly and Fox News how out of line they are with real journalistic integrity.0

O’Reilly sent his media goon, Jesse Waters, to their city in an effort to discover the most liberal state in America and antagonize the residents who live there.
A desperate act by desperate people. Or maybe just an attempt to boost their own ego. In any case, one word: Fail."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -

I can't tell who you think failed. O'Reilly and fox or the students.0 -
O'Reilley and Fox NEVER think they fail. That's how disillusioned both are. Watching interviews of Jon Stewart and O'Reilley verifies that. You can tell Jon wants to tear his own hair out because being reasonable with the likes of O'Reilley is simply inconceivable.0

One problem; The O'Reilly Factor is political commentary...not objective reporting.
This is like calling a carrot a bad vegetable for not adhering to the principals of broccoli.
I have no doubt FOX news, MSNBC, CNN or any cable news station is more interested in ratings than content. But if you're going to call them out, you've got to make sure you do it using proper examples, or else it just comes across as being naive about the topic at hand.0 -

I agree with you. The problem with fox is that their two prime time shows (O'Reilly and Megan Kelly) think they are objective when reporting news. They think their opinions are facts.0 -
Me x2.0

The shows think that? Or viewers think that? It seems to me the only people who think what any talking head has to say as fact either adores or hates the person saying it. The viewer should have some responsibility in understanding what they're watching.Post edited by mookeywrench on0 -

Great post, completely agree.0 -
They do (edit!!! in terms of responsibility, not taking the words of blind melons as gospel). Well, I do, since I can only speak for myself. Can't limit this only to Fox programming, it's all over the place. I use common sense and gut when seeing this all, these reports.mookeywrench wrote: »Last-12-Exit wrote: »

Not bragging at all, but I'm pretty comfortable with my level of intelligence and grasp on things.
Honest

I'll clarify, Bill O'Reilly and Megan Kelly think their opinion is fact.0

What can I say- it's one of those great lines. Kinda like John Mayall's "I was looking back to see if she was looking back to see if I was looking back at her." :-))
Edit: Minor faux pas- that was originally a Johnny "Guitar" Watson line. :-)Post edited by brianlux on"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -

but they portray it as "reporting". you don't see this kind of trash from any other news outlet, regardless of how partisan.
