    Funny hearing all these people saying Manziel is a bust already. He was awful yesterday, but it was 1 start. I personally don't think he'll do much in the NFL, but it's crazy how quick people are to label him a bust already.

    Why does the NFL deem it ok for a player to get "shot up" before game but not ok to play with with his bell rung or a concussion? If you can get "shot up" why can't you take PED's?

    I feel the same. If you can take a shot to deaden the pain of an injury, you might as well be able to use HGH to heal faster. A huge hypocritical double standard.

    As for the players, I understand that unless you are a superstar, an injury, no matter how minor can cost you your job. I get it. But its dangerous.

    in my defense, i said he would be awful before he was drafted. the way he played yesterday was how he played in college....only difference is the players are bigger, faster, stronger and better at this level- he can't get away with all the stuff he got away with in college.

    i just think he's too small, he's really not that fast, and his mechanics are fucking terrible.

    Why would gruden want to stay in the MNF booth? He just signed an extension keeping him in the booth until Espn's deal with the nfl is up. I thought for sure he'd be coaching again in the near future.

    last night, they were detailing Romo's whole shot routine. the NFL is hypocritical on many fronts and they will do whatever's best to keep the dollars flowing....any "concern" over anything other than money is purely superficial.
    If I had known then what I know now...

    That's what got me thinking about it. I don't blame Romo for getting it done but the NFL is supposed to be all about player safety these days.

    The Thursday Night games are a great idea in theory. I wish they would go back to just Sunday and Monday....and sprinkle in the Saturday action the last few weeks.

    People already watch college ball on Saturdays, right? That is why the NFL will never go Saturday as a standard.

    I agree about NFL, was referring to their history (has to be 15 years+) of putting a 2 game Saturday schedule in place for a week or two near the end of the season. I see this week it is only week 16...perhaps it was always the 2nd to last week? But I am positive they have done Saturday games for at least one week at the end part of the season for years.

    I think they had gone away from the Saturday games the past few years, but it is back this year. Pretty sure it used to be a couple games each on week 15 and 16. I think it's great....once college football goes away, I don't know what the hell to do with myself on Saturdays.

    I concur. Or what they could do is start the TNF games the week after Thanksgiving. Then it's more special, rather than every single week.

    Jim harbaugh is considering an offer to coach at Michigan for a reported $8.1 million per year. How the hell do you turn that down? It can't be as bad as coaching the raiders.
