    I gotta disagree with your Facebook angle. Fake profiles are easy to make. On this website you need a credit card, mailing address, etc. to be a member. Obviously scams can happen either place, but I'd much rather trust a guy who has 2000+ posts and has been a member here for 15 years than someone who claims to be a fashion model in France on Facebook and is now running a Pearl Jam lottery.

    Since Jamminpearls is a long time member and a trusted trader there's no issues with him, but some random guy that just showed up on the PJ Facebook group a few months ago wouldnt get my cash.

    Of course, nor would a guy who just showed up on these boards likely get your cash. That's the point, it's subjective.

    Fake facebook profiles are easy to make. E-mail address, a picture or two, and bam! A fake facebook profile with years of activity, a job, connections to family members along with family photos, etc. is not easy to make. Unless you want to make a bunch of fake family members/friends profiles as well. Even then, I doubt someone has been plotting the last 2, 3, 5, however many years to pull off the big "PJ Raffle Heist" and continuously post activity for years on social media profiles for that long to do it. And if someone was going to do that, they could just as easily do the same here. If I find someone on facebook that I have researched enough to believe they are real, then I feel much more comfortable trading with them. I know where they work, who their family and friends are, and whatever other information I can find from their profile. Here you have a screen name and maybe the word of some other members, that's it.

    Verify everyone based on your best instincts. Definitely don't expect because someone is a paying member to the 10club and provided an address to a company that you are safe. That's the point I'm trying to get across. There are plenty of stories here about people getting ripped off as well.

    Facebook has more reach and audience than the forums. Plus, not everyone there is a paid 10 club member, which if I'm right, is still a precursor to using this forum.

    I don't understand why any music fan would not be on Facebook. It is an amazing resource for the musically obsessed.
