    If anything, it'll be an animal projects release....

    If you didn't know this, AP doesn't share with the community, only a smaller set of people, and further only those that burn Blu Ray. If you share with BTN, it will be posted here and for those that can't get burn, on You Tube.
  • These are ridiculous!!!!
    Thanks so much…i don't know a thing about pj vids trading….but i'd pretty much trade my balls for a blu-ray copy, or dvd…..

    Great show, my hometown, sounds and looks perfect. thank you again.
    cheers

    It's not fair for you to call out AP as a group that doesn't share because that's not the case. The projects for which I provided footage were all made available, and as for any projects that have been deemed "NFT" (not for trade) are for reasons left to either the dvd author or the one that submitted the video (or because EV doesn't want any of his solo stuff out there) and that is NOT unique to AP because there are NFT videos made by many individuals and groups.
    Personally I wish everything was available and there were no "NFT" videos left buried, but I have to respect the decisions behind them being unavailable (at least publicly).
    I applaud BTN for making all their PJ blurays available, and what'd be even better is if you'd stop hijacking youtube footage and start working directly with the tapers to get their raw footage. And to top it off I'm astounded that the mods haven't yet taken down any of the BTN/mrussel1 posts talking about your available videos because some of us here have been shut down for merely mentioning a bootleg video, let alone posting links for them. Go figure...

    These 4K videos are missing something critical hidden within the 4K, and that's detailed 1080p. 4K has four times the amount of pixels as 1080p (2x more pixels width-wise, 2x more height-wise = 4x more pixels total), so you can crop it to your favourite quadrant of the screen (and you can make a motion path so it doesn't have to be consistent... you could follow Eddie, for example) and out of that you can get good quality image stabilization through software, as well as a solid 1080p video. Since the vast majority of us have access to only 1080p screens (I'm on a retina Mac which is still only around 2K), the 4K impact is limited by your own screen resolution. I'm looking forward to when content creators start to recognize that, develop a workflow for 4K editing, and do so accordingly. That being said, 4K has more pixels, with more pixels come more contrast and a wider colour space, so those advantages are gained immediately when you shoot in it, and carry over to 1080p if that conversion is done.

    1080p = 1,080 horizontal lines of pixels. 1920 x 1080 pixels
    4K = roughly 4,000 vertical lines of pixels. 2x 1080p = 3840 x 2160 pixels

    To me, it reads as a bit cheap and marketing gimmicky of them to change from the standard of having the name created by the amount of horizontal lines of pixels (480p = 704 x 480, 720p = 1280 x 720, 1080p = 1920 x 1080) to the amount of vertical lines of pixels. Why do they do this? Because 4K sounds so much better than 1,080 lines compared to 2K which implies the truth - both dimensions have twice the amount of pixels.

    I have a 4K Sony TV and was messing around last night with the apps that come loaded on it. I brought up YouTube and searched for clips from the Moline show. Lo and behold almost the entire show in 4K. Called my wife over, cracked open a bottle of wine and re-lived the night. The picture is insane. Even at 70" there was no break-up. I wasn't at Milwaukee, but a Blu-Ray of Moline and Milwaukee for a No Code/ Yield super deluxe box set would be incredible.
