I saw the Friday Forum show in LA. X and Tenacious D opened up for them. I remember Jack Black saying "thanks to Pearl Jam for playing with us tonite" Later on Vedder says " I want to thank X and Tenacious D for letting us play with them".
Sometimes was an opener. Brain of J was HEAVY!!! Vedder danced to the solo of DTE.
I went to the 2 Benefit shows at Memorial Stadium in Seattle in July of '98!! On day 2...Ed came out at the beginning of the day and did an AMAZING acoustic version of "Throw Your Arms Around Me" and then introduced Sean Lennon's Band!! We got to hear Stone sing "Mankind" that night too!

EVERYTHING!!!! The Yield Tour rocked !!! Saw them 4 times. Both AV shows, Chicago and St. Louis. Have the posters from them too.
Oh, if only they would rock out posters now like they did back then. Print for print, '98 might be the best poster year of them all !!!!!

Caught that opening pre show song on my tape recorder. Yup, I was taping then. In 1998 got to see 2 shows in Maui, 2 shows in Seattle, Maryland, Washington DC (DAR) and Camden. Had a lot of fun and met some great fans that we're still in contact with. The posters were pretty cool also.

Iggy in CLE opening. Dude in a hawaiian shirt sitting down his whole set, in maybe the 5th row dead center. Iggy (from memory) "you don't like me, my music? eff you" turns around and moons him. Bare ass and all. Still not sure if I feel sorry for the guy sitting or not.
I grabbed the CLE and PITT posters. $10 each. still have them, unframed. Trying to figure out what to do with them.
Yup, first tour here too, and also broke in with Hard To Imagine. Camden 1 was like the best setlist I could have asked for on my first night .Cool merch (and still inexpensive - I believe shirts were still in the $15-20 range, while specialty items like the soccer jersey went for 40 bucks), cool posters, cool everything. So many varied setlists too. In school that fall I was trading bootlegs like crazy. Good times.
MSG 2 in particular I got a freaking ticket outside for drinking a beer in a paper bag hobo style!
Soooooo, one of my buddies at the time went outside the bar to burn some trees In NYC, cop busts him for smoking, tells him he's really not that much in trouble, just has to stay in jail overnight and then he'll be released. He was pissed he missed msg2. He was a twin so one of the bros got to make it in while the other went downtown for the night. And I was supposed to join him outside but someone grabbed me as I was going outside for a quick chat. Oooooooo weeeeee, talk about lucky!
Haven't talked to the twins in over 15 years, I bet they're on the boards. I always wonder that.
So many things. Still my favorite tour. Camden 1 and Mansfield 2 were my first two shows ever! After hearing all the albums at nausea it was mind blowing to hear what matt did with those songs, especially Given to Fly. Someone mentioned Brain of J being awesome and I will second that. Small notes that were amazing Eds voice Matt on drums Stones guitar tone Ed sat three rows in front of us at Camden for mudhoney! Hard to Imagine! So much energy and vigor!
