I am not cool with depriving them of their Constitutionally protected rights until they have been deemed a threat to themselves or others. I also find that if that door were opened then it would be open for abuse and the removal of gun rights to all soldiers until they were cleared medically, and given the political climate nowadays I don't sense that clearing them would be an urgency.

You let them serve in active duty while having PTSD, right? I can't say I have seen too many stories of discharge due to it.

Ah yes, the old "better sorry than safe" mantra.

mexico wants money for it's kidnapped victim.....if duhbama offered up some cash those dirt bags would have sent him home already most likely, anybody who has ever spent any time in mexico knows you can get out of pretty much anything for a few bucks.

Kidnapped? entering their country with weapons in his vehicle, assuming they saw on the seat or felt they had cause to search and then arresting him is kidnapping?
I see. I wonder what ransom demands WE have made for all these kids we are holding.

We can trade high level terrorists for a deserter then we can get him out. But like someone said.. no advantage for Obama to help this guy.

Excuse me. Taliban hierarchy werent the ones who committed those acts on sept 11. The were willing to turn al queda over or allow US to come in and get them. Those people were then captured during war with the ruling party of a country we invaded to capture (then decide not to) noncitizens of that country.

This marine BROKE THE LAW of a sovereign neighbor as a CIVILIAN with weapons on or near his person or control while crossing a border into their jurisdiction. I hope he gets the help he needs being diagnosed with PTSD and not refusing said help.

Now imagine if it was reversed and it was a MEXICAN crossing the border into the US? That brown skin would be shot on SITE. Let's not kid ourselves.

Yeah, those thousands that have come over in the border in the last ten months were marched right into the gas chambers.

I don't think those 10,000 had guns or weapons on them, unless I'm wrong. I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time.
