All of this for a spot on the rail i just don't see how it's worth it , yeah yeah this band is the best i know so the wait is worth it , not to me it's not

    ^^^This.

People are on the rail for a shot at a souvenir. Nothing more.
For those of us who are short (5'1"), the rail is nice because we can guarantee that the 6'9" man behind us (and you think I kid) is BEHIND us and not in front of us. I didn't care about souvenirs or tambourines or anything other than being able to see. I could and my husband and I had a great time. Wouldn't trade that chunk of rail for anything in the world. Frankly, it was probably a spot few others wanted. I was on Stone's side, in front of the speakers and with the pipe and drape thing in front of me to block out the sound woman. You don't see me complaining, though.

So you are wrong, my friend. Shortness brought me to the rail to see PJ. Nothing more.

RIGHT before the show started, I went out and bought a shirt for my wife and myself and waited in line for....2 mins? No worries. Don't get wasting 3 hours of your time waiting in line for things. I'll NEVER do that. Just not a line person. I'd rather pass.

My husband went out during the show and we bought the kiddo a shirt afterwards. We waited for about five minutes total. The only thing that sucks about waiting…there were no posters left because the limit rule was not enforce in St. Louis. I guess that I will show up early and wait from now on. :(
    Hearts and thoughts they fade....
    fade away...

I am at peace with my lust.....for Eddie.

To each their own, though, don't you think? There are probably people on the rail for souvenirs but surely for other reasons too. Maybe that changes as you go to your 10th, 20th, 100th shows? I've only been to three shows but all have been in GA and I can say I'm not down there to catch tambourines. I want to be there to see the band up close. And to contribute (albeit in a small way) to their experience on stage by reciprocating their energy from the floor.. I don't know.. I dig it in the pit.. isn't that a good enough reason to be there?
    Sounds good to me
