Annoyed by TV show

So I fully admit I watch teenage crap.

With that being said, the next episode of The Vampire Diaries is titled Yellow Ledbetter. This kind of pisses me off. I like the show, but not enough for that song to be the title. Really hoping it doesn't get played.

Btw, 2 episodes later is called Black Hole Sun. Someone new apparently loves the Seattle scene, as the titles were never like this before.

    You gotta figure a job is a job right? The writers for shows like that probably have much broader interests than "teenage crap", but that's the job they currently have. So sneaking in references to good music is probably just a bit of fun for them. I would expect 99.9% of their demo isn't going to understand either reference.

    Kinda like what they do on kids shows. Have you ever watched an episode of PeeWee's Playhouse as an adult?

    The ladies on that show are fantastic. My wife loves the show, I think it is awful but there are some fantastic looking women on it.

    It's probably just the title... they had an episode called Smells Like Teen Spirit and they didn't play Nirvana. PJ does license their music more often though... Sons Of Anarchy, The Blacklist and tied for my favorite: Yellow Ledbetter on the series finale of Friends and Comeback on Friday Night Lights. Epic!

    I don't know what it is- I was seriously fine with YL on Friends ( loved it in fact), Future Days on HIMYM, two songs on Blacklist. Something just rubs me wrong this time. Idk if it's the show itself, or the choice of songs- almost like YL is too good for the show.

    Those crazy youngsters and their "grunge" music....What's next? Hippity hoppity music and those reefer cigarettes?

    I was just at my local church's sock hop last Sunday and they weren't even using balloons between the midsections. Some of the young fillies were even showing at least 6 inches of solid ankle...
