  • You do not know how to read.

"Cannabinoids appear to kill tumor cells but do not affect their nontransformed counterparts and may even protect them from cell death. "

is written that way not becuase they "appear to" kill tumor cells, but because of the contradiction between what it does kill and does not kill.

It appears to kill TUMOR cells, but NOT nontransformed cells.
It is a factual observation, not a weak assumption couched behind wishy-washy language.

What else doesn't look strong enough about the bolded sentences above?

  • If articles citing scientific sources piss you off, how about this:

Tenzing, c'mon man. Totally unwarranted and unnecessarily hateful.

Shame a thread about something potentially amazingly beneficial went this route.

Here's the deal. I have no doubt that studies were conducted... I have no doubt that the results may show some valid scientific data regarding the effects of cannaboids or whatever on tumors somehow but there's a huge problem. These are just primary, independent tests done on rats and mice and even those conducting the studies aren't entirely sure how the mechanisms work. But people with a love affair with pot and think that "the cancer networks" are trying to hide this keep passing along these articles like they are exposing some magic cure. And they keep putting the word cure in them like it really is that. Cancer sucks and the best treatments we currently have also suck. People are desperate for an alternative and representing things like this give people a false hope. So that's why I get so upset... Now why don't you edit your post title. You know its not a cure.
