There was a time when the band hadn't been playing 'Breath', and in '98 due to fans' requests (a massive sign campaign), they played it.
In 2000, the gal with the 'Wash' umbrella... they played it.
There was the 'Leash' drought of '06...they played it.
I once held a sign up for 'Satan's Bed', Ed saw it and they played it.
Wrigley - Adam from Indiana requested 'Come Back' in honor of his wife who had recently passed away - they played it.
Heck, an entire setlist in Amsterdam '12 was basically one giant request, and they played it.
'Strangest Tribe' - never been played...they just played it.
And there are countless other examples. This band is like no other. Constantly giving and giving and giving to the fans, it never ceases to amaze me. I want them to play whatever the hell they want to in MN, and I'm going to love it. When I start to think this band has no surprises left or tricks up their sleeve, they blow me away once again.
Please play MN Pearl Jam... and they are.0 -
Well said.
if we average ten posts a day up until Oct 19, we will have 8,000 posts. Doesn't mean anything, but that's a whole lot more than when this began almost three years ago.I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

I've been impressed with the Euro setlists thus far. Of course I would change a few things, but who wouldn't? :-) The 30-35 song trend bodes well for this Fall.I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

I don't think I would have the guts to bring a sign to a show, simply because it would get in the way of the fans behind me.Post edited by evenflow82 onI've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell.

With regards to last night's setlist....
I think people are interchanging the words "epic" with "good" too often around here.
If you were to take Pearl Jam's 30 most played songs, would the show still be good and/or epic?0 -
Yeah I'm not big on the signs either. My friend and I did it 8 years ago, showed it once late in a show when Eddie was looking our way (there was a seating mix up and we were very close to the stage), and it became a great memory for us. I certainly wouldn't want to spoil the experience for another audience member though, and can see signs as being annoying. I'm still guilty as charged, and if I had the chance to do it again I wouldn't change a thing.evenflow82 said:I don't think I would have the guts to bring a sign to a show, simply because it would in the way of the fans behind me.
Goes back to the "band doesn't owe us a thing, yet they still treat us like they do", which was what I was getting at in my last post.

I believe we all had a long discussion about the sign thing earlier this year...adusick said:
