The song or movie? I thought the movie was really overrated.

1- when did you first watch the movie?
2- when was the last time you watched the movie?

I just think it's a classic. I saw it when I was a teenager and loved it and now that I'm older, I catch so much more. Great flick. The movie just stays the same age... =D>

Me too, like the song, the movie was confusing for me!

Once a movie has been hyped for most of your life, it's definitely going to be overrated by the time you get done watching it. Always unfortunate when that happens. I think if someone watches this movie when they're in high school, they can relate to it so much more and therefore enjoy it for what it is (without needing to relate to the stoner part of it). I mean, when movies come out now that are based in high school, there's no appeal for me so how can I enjoy it?

    My 2 cents :)

Great points, great movie, great soundtrack.

Here's a tidbit: the red headed girl who hangs out with the smart kids (one of which played by Adam Goldberg) is the wife of Beck.

So is this thread the best place to keep an eye out for where/when gatherings/the fundraiser will be? I'm a noob who wants to meet other local PJers :D

p.s. I am also an introvert and occasionally need a kick in the pants to get out, so I know not knowing when something is will just be a clever excuse my lizard brain uses to stay home and watch another Vikings episode...

Yes you can check here, or the Wishlist Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1499667233585387/?notif_t=plan_user_invited

It's totally okay if you're an introvert :) I'd highly suggest coming out to the pre-party. Lots of good energy, positive people, prizes, and fun! The preparty is great for meeting fellow fanatics, swapping stories, and getting psyched for the show. I highly recommend it, you should totally go - no excuses!

So far the only details are that this will likely take place at Patrick McGovern's in St. Paul on Sunday, and we'll have an "unofficial" gathering Saturday night in the Twin Cities, if you can handle two nights of craziness.

Welcome! Definitely will keep you on the radar when it comes time to making sure you don't give any excuses because none will be acceptable! (but I totally get using Vikings as an excuse for any other occasion.. that show is amazing)

Thanks kdiddy and adusick! Definitely feel welcomed, and definitely will stay tuned.

And I can probably handle 2 nights of craziness, but I don't know if my husband can. He's more of a casual fan that lovingly tolerates my crazy :) He does like having a few beers and socializing though, so I could probably sell him on that aspect!
