What Missing Bootleg Moments Are You Wishing You Could Re-Live?

vercemanverceman Posts: 679
I've been fortunate enough to attend some memorable shows the last few years, with the only downside being that for reasons unknown the band has chosen not to release official, mixed, bootlegs from these particular shows. Sure I have enough hours of bootlegs from other shows to occupy my time, and enough memories from those shows, but there is at least one performance from each of those shows I would love to hear again in the best possible quality:

PJ20 Night 1 Hunger Strike
PJ20 Night 2 - Improv "Glad We Stayed To When It Got Good"
Made In America - Black
Wrigley - Porch

There was something about Black at MIA and Porch at Wrigley that for me was just on another plane.

What are your songs from these shows or others that are as-of-yet-unreleased?

The recent boots don't do the crowds justice so the moment may be a memory forever, but Release at Wrigley was the loudest crowd singalong I have ever heard for that song.

Does anyone know if/when they plan on releasing the PJ20 shows from East Troy, WI and the Wrigley show from last year? Was at them all and would love to add all 3 of those shows, anyone know why they've held back on releasing them???

I thought the unique Corduroy jam at Wrigley was amazing. Surprised more people don't talk about it.

When I saw PJ in Saskatoon Eddie came up and sang 'I Believe in Miracles' with the Supersuckers. I'd love to see/hear that again.

The opening notes of Present Tense in London, July 2013.

Though I honestly feel very lucky that they've played my hometown twice. It's such a small town (relatively speaking).

The PJ20 songs that featured guests and nothing in particular from Made In America. An audience recording of that would've been fine.

Well, the entire weekend in general from PJ20 at Alpine.

But if I had to say ONE specific moment/song from Alpine, I would have to say Release. Chills just thinking about it.

Agreed. I think that is a moment that got lost in part due to the time of night and the loooong walk many of us faced after the show. Thank you for mentioning this because I had kinda forgotten.

There are audience boots of all these shows though.... There is a really good one of Wrigley floating get around. And the entire show is also on YouTube. No reason not to relive that one.

I have a few audience recordings myself but I took the question to mean soundboards.

I wasn't there but even the energy on the crowd recordings is great. Always loved that one.

Can't get much better than that !!
Probably my favorite concert moment, maybe ever

    Amazing moment ! Very emotional

And, on a side note, a funny story about that. I went with my best friend who is kinda goofy, and Release is his favorite song and he has never heard it live. When the opening notes started, I got excited and started yelling release to him. It was so loud, that he really couldn't hear me... kept giving me a puzzled look, saying he couldn't hear. This went back and forth a few times, finally I gave up.

The next day he told me he thought I was yelling "Police" over and over. The funny thing was,a few people next to him lit up a joint, and he thought they were coming to get them for some reason

Now, it's a bit of a inside joke, We also went to Wrigley together, where he proceeded to yell, "It's the police". So everytime that song comes on, we gotta crank the volume up and scream, like we can't hear each other. "It's the Police. .. It's the Police"

    The end.

Pretty much everything from 12/8/2002, 12/9/2002. Also, I wasn't there, but I'm sure people who were at the Showbox 12/5/2002 wouldn't mind an official bootleg of that show.

Me too! This right here was worth everything.. the storm, the wait with the 1000% humidity, the 8 hour drive etc,etc..

Just an all around amazing show. They really should go ahead and release this boot. If you're a Mike fan(like me) you should DEMAND IT!!

I went to the West Palm Beach Show 8-9-2000. I was my favorite show EVER!! A nice breeze brought sweet relief from the heat/humidity. I was a perfect night & The energy was amazing. This is my favorite outdoor venue b/c the acoustics are exceptionally good. During "Wish List" this GIANT meteor/falling star went over the arc of the stage. We had a good spot on the lawn & there was NO way you could have missed it from this location. It's trail was blazing white, wide (not your typical falling star) and time wise long. The crowd roar went way up in amazement and Eddie looked a bit bewildered and the the guys kinda looked at each other, like, what's going on? I wonder if they found out later. If you were underneath the covering, you would not have been able to see it. I checked the bootleg list and so disappointed to see this was not on there. :( Such an EPIC show, would love to hear that crowd roar again.
