don't bite on the first ticket that pops up... especially if you're only looking for singles. i got four different singles in the 100s today after trying repeatedly. plus, shit tends to open up closer to the show date as well.
correct...it is a strategic system of ticket releases that create a false sense of "I'm not going to be able to get a ticket" which in turn leads to a feeding frenzy on the resale sites. Don't fear...aside from the Vic show (and likely Showbox).....tickets always become available.

Yeah, I got one in the 100's but threw it back because it was all the way opposite of the stage. It was truly the big one that got away because after that I had nothing but far away 200's. So I panicked and bought a decent nosebleed around the 50 yard line that was row C in the 200's. I figured that's pretty decent.

A lot of venues hold tickets back in good sections for sporting events and concerts. They alot a certain amount for promotional purposes and sponsor type stuff. What isn't used becomes available sometimes the day of the event. Just putting that out there for people. I've gotten lucky multiple times in the past for different things, including PJ in Toronto 2000.
I checked on TM earlier tonight just playing around and was still able to get tickets in almost all venues. Theybwerentbgreatvseats but you'll be there. It's all about the music right? Btw...F TM!

It's TMs fault that PJ took the best seats for their club members?
Anyone throwing back a 100 level seat bc it is across from the stage rather than next to it is a fool realizing PJ has taken care of us. Those are the seats you want. Generally the best sound and sight lines anyway. It's not like these are stadiums.

Ticketmaster was strange for Detroit and I'm assuming the rest.
When it first started I could only pull pairs in the 200s toward the back and sides back. Probably 30 minutes later I noticed the behind stage seats were up for sale and at that time some tickets on the immediate/slightly front sides popped up too... which are Imo the best seats.
Agreed. I don't know when the system started to form a line with wait times listed, but that truly sucks. For moline, I got in with a 5 minute wait time. And every minute it went up by a minute. When it hit 15 minutes I called my friend and he had the same problem. He stayed on line and I called TM. As soon as I called, it went straight through and I scored 4 tickets together. I'm not sure how it works, but it seems like their technology has really regressed online. But, that being said, it all worked out and I'm grateful to have all four seats together for my friends and I.

I really don't understand the purpose of the random/timed drops. Just put all seats on sale. There is no reason for every seat in the house to not be available at the advertised "on sale" time.
I logged in on my desktop at 10am and went for tix and it immediately said 15min wait and never brought any up. 10:15 I downloaded the app and it started pulling tix immediately. I threw back a bunch that were more than halfway back and all the way back all the way up and finally ende up with sect 118 for St. Louis and 224 for Milwaukee or the reverse I can't remember . Maybe I should have been home on my DSL, work is broadband. Who knows I hope those side seats aren't too bad. Kind of get to see a different perspective. Oh, it took me 1.5 hrs to get them.
